This KFC commercial makes me want to blow up their headquarters (although I have violence, so I won't). They're using the fear of cancer to sell their disgusting product.

I thought that commercial was... well, interesting. Especially because consuming meat (as opposed to eating a plant-based diet) puts you at a greater risk for getting certain types of cancers. It's like, "hey, buy this product that may give you cancer later and we will give some of your money to help pay for the possible cure."

I thought the same thing. I was just like "oookay...this commercial is a little hypocritical." That's like Marlboro donating to cancer treatment every time you buy a pack.
Also, that chicken sandwich they're selling now makes me cringe.

The concept might be bad, but I fail to see how the commercial in it self is awful.

It makes sense. Eat buckets full of genetically engineered chickens that have been shot up with a crap ton of hormones and antibiotics. And some of the money you spent will go towards curing you if the result is developing cancer. It's like a short-term finance plan with backup insurance if things go to hell. Mmm... mutagens.

The chicken/cancer commercial is just ridiculous. I feel that anyone who actually believes they can "help cure cancer" by eating a bucket of chicken really deserves the heart disease and other health problems they end up with from eating said chicken.
(Honestly, none of the pharmaceutical companies working on "finding a cure" want to actually CURE cancer, there's no profit in that. If they do want to FIND a cure, it so they can patent it and no one else can use their findings. There's profit in collecting donations and selling maintenance drugs, not in curing anything. Plus, why do people want to get something for their donations? If you really want to donate to some cause, write a check for $5 and deduct it from your taxes, why the need to get a candy bar or a bucket of chicken and only a tiny fraction of what you spend will go to the cause? Must there always be something in it for me????????)
