mango lassi... Could be rose water, salt, or yogurt. Maybe try adding some lemon juice to it. You can try kinda curdling milk with lemon juice and using that.

I really want a Tempeh, avocado sandwich with beautiful fresh summer tomatoes on thick cut fresh bread with a metric ton of Vegannaise.

This may be a dumb question, but how does one curdle non-dairy milk? AFAIK the various milks all respond different ways.

I haven't tried it myself but Vegan Richa has a pretty tasty looking Mango Lassi recipe: http://www.veganricha.com/2014/02/mango-lassi-and-so-delicious-coupon.html

Skylark, I've heard that almond milk curdles the same way when you add acid to it. Not sure about the other varieties.

In anticipation of camping season...

Root vegetable (potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots) in tin foil pockets with rosemary, olive oil, salt, garlic (maybe even throw some hummus in there) and toss it all into the fire pit.

Haha I have lived in the north east almost all my life so I have probably only ever been exposed to so-so watermelon.

I am on a crazy nacho kick. All I've wanted to eat the last few days was big plates of loaded nachos. I think it's a comfort food thing, since I had finals this week. Mmm... chips, black beans, avocado, olives, onions, tomato, hot sauce....

Hi Werewolf Girl!  :hi:  It's good to be back, I can never stay away for too long. :D

I'm also kind of craving simple rice and beans right now, which I know sounds silly.  Who can get excited over rice and beans?  Well, this guy can!

Well hey there! The old threads keep getting revitalized so you still come up fairly often! Glad you and Skylark are back!

Beans and rice do sound good. I'm craving jarred jalepanos so I can marinate the beans in the juice! That was really good with rice and tomato

Anyone have a recipe for the kind of rice you get in Mexican places? Everything I find is too tomato-ey and cumin-y. I'm not sure what spice I'm looking for - maybe too many?

I've heard about PB and pickle sandwiches before! I'm curious about it too, it could be interesting.

That snadwish sounds...interesting!

I'm craving some ethiopian food!! some injera with the super spicy red lentils in berbere sauce! There's one amazing restaurent in Ottawa called the Horn of Africa. SOOO good! But their injera isn't gluten free and I just recently learned I have a sensitivity to it :( (and that's how I learned their injera wasn't gf), so now I'm on a quest to make my own at home!

Oh, now my craving is camping food. We do packets with veggies and whole garlic cloves. I love to put a Gardenburger Riblet in mine.

I loooove peanut butter and pickle sandwiches! They are great. They are best with all natural peanut butter - no added sugar.

As for me right now, I'm going out to a restaurant tonight that serves falafel patties as a hamburger alternative and I'm practically drooling in anticipation!!
