Is it just me, or does it seem that the most progressive people tend to usually be the ones turning out to be vegetarian or vegan?

She forgot to put one of my favorites in the video, guitar legend Jeff Beck.

On a side note, this video was done by the same person who did the Speciesism video which generated a few posts in the following thread:

Vegetarian since February 12, 2007
Vegan since October 7, 2008

Jerry Seinfield isn't a vegetarian, as far as I know. His wife's cookbook contains meat and I can't find any mention about it online. I don't believe Dre is either.

And you're right, a lot of progressive people are/were veg

Jerry Seinfield's name appears in the following list at the site listed below. He supposedly doesn't even like it for anyone to eat meat in front of him. Didn't see Dre mentioned, and they left out Russell Simmons. Jeff Beck was included this time.

Cattle Decapitation, Converge, & Wolves in the Throne Room are veg*n. I don't know if you'd call them "famous," but close...

probably a bunch of other awesome bands too, but those are the only ones that come to mind.

You're gonna make me puke my pants.

Holy cow I've been a big fan of Jeff Beck for decades and had no idea he's been a vegetarian for many many years. Cool!

I've seen no evidence that Socrates or Mark Twain, for example, would have been veg*n. Quite often, with both historical veg*ns as well as current celebrities, people assume someone is veg*n just because they have made some comments in defense of animal welfare (like Mark Twain has).
