Hi everyone,

I am making chocolate chip cookies (they are vegan and I think they are from the recipe section of this forum). The recipe calls for half a cup of coconut oil. I have two types of coconut oil. One does not smell like coconut (this is the one I use for frying things) and one does smell like coconut. Which one do I use in the recipe? The other ingredients are flour, baking soda, salt, Earth Balance, white and brown sugar, flax meal, Ener-G, almond milk. vanilla and vegan choc chips.

Thanks in advance!

I guess it depends whether you'd want a coconut flavor in the cookies or not

LOL! Good point. I can always try both and see which I like better!

I have two types of coconut oil as well. The virgin coconut oil (no smell) and the extra virgin coconut oil (with coconut smell). I use the extra virgin whenever I want a light coconut taste.
