In the Las Vegas CityLife newspaper there's a story about a vegetarian campaign by Vegas Veg* and moi. I wanted to share: http://www.lasvegascitylife.com/arti...q_34848496.txt

My quotes:

"People have all these little myths about the food industry," she said. "On the package, it always looks like an idyllic farm. But really it's like a torture chamber. Factory farms are horribly, horribly cruel."

"Vegas is like a little, tiny America. A lot of what happens here reflects what's happening in the rest of the country," Vigneault said. "We really are forward-thinking and progressive in some areas. And this town is all about embracing the new."

Way to go Elaine, keep up the good work.

Ah! I lived in Vegas for twelve years, up by the 215 and Anne Rd!

Interesting, I've seen a few of those billboards around. A nice change from all the other crazy billboards around Las Vegas.

"I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine." Bruce Lee.

"On a large enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero." Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club)

Yeah, that's for sure. We have some pretty bold billboards in Vegas.

By the way, here's another story about the billboards in the UNLV student newspaper: http://unlvrebelyell.com/2010/03/18/...t-what-we-eat/

Truly awesome job Elaine. I hope some kind, rich benefactor steps up so you can keep the billboards up longer.
