I live in Fort Worth and eat at our Spiral Diner all the time. I have NEVER had anything that wasn't great. I also recommend taking a cooking class. Best part of the class is the tips that James gives and then eating what was cooked. GREAT food.

I haven't been to Spiral in waaaaaay too long. I went more when I was single. My boyfriend is out of town this weekend, so maybe I will go!

I was actually down the street from there the other day, eating at King Tut for the first time. I really liked it. Their falafel is green! The hummus was yum. The only bad thing was I bought a jar of kalamata olives from them (because the ones they served with the food were so good) and they were nasty. Tasted rancid.

Eh...living in the meat eating capital of the world (so it seems), we tend to be occupied with surviving in this city.

But yeah...I just got me a new job so I've been spending a good amount of time there.

I'm coming to Dallas at the end of January to see Broken Social Scene at House of Blues. Any tips on places to stay?

It all depends on your budget really. There are lots of great places downtown and around the area.

I ate at Cosmic Cafe for the first time tonight. It was really good.

I got the Pizza Mystica (with no cheese). Yum

Hey guys. I'm new to VeggieBoards, so I just wanted to say hi. I agree that it is hard to find good vegetarian eats in Dallas. I usually cook mine myself.

Currently, I'm intrigued with Freeganism. Has anyone ever done this? I'm curious and a bit scared to dumpster dive...

And Welcome.

And to everyone else....

I'm not having a problem at all surviving the "meat eating capitol"

And I'm a full time student and I have a full time job. But I keep myself prepared so *shrugs*

Good luck to you guys.

This is true. But eh, I don't know. I guess that's why places like this are developed *shrugs*

Ok, well as I mentioned earlier in this thread...Angelik and I were driving down tomorrow (1/30) to see Broken Social Scene at House of Blues. Well, they cancelled tonight due to illness.

Seeing as how we have a hotel reservation and lunch plans for Saturday we're still coming. We both took off work too, so we might as well make the most of it.

Anybody know of anything going on around the House of Blues/West End area?

Keep in mind we don't know the area worth a flip, so we'd need some details in order to get directions.

We'll only be in town for tomorrow night and part of Saturday so any suggestions would be appreciated!

It depends again on when you guys are coming. I wish I could have made it last time, but if I know in enough time (dates and times!) I can definitely meet up!

The show is the 21st of July, I believe. It's a weekday, so I don't know if we'lll be staying overnight or just going for the day and driving back that night after the show.

This.

If you're at the Starplex/Smirnoff/Superpages.com in July, you're going to smell so bad going home. I don't care home much of whatever your wear.

Definitely try to stay the night if you can. You thank yourself for the shower in the end.

Hello, my fiance and I just moved here from the Galveston/Surfside area.

It's awesome to see all of the restaurants on here; and I noticed a lot of mention on the Spiral Diner.

I've got both addresses saved, but which one is everyone specifically raving about?

Awesome, thank you.

Hopefully if my transfer follows through this week, I'll get to some good food.
