It's a continuation of that whole contaminated tomato thing that has been going on. After months, they decided it isn't the tomatoes after all and now they think it may be the peppers.

I was in Plano not too long ago.

I've been wanting to go to the Spiral Diner for a LONG time now. But all of my friends refuse to go with me because the thought of going to a vegan eatery is "gross". But whatever.

Haha. If I get the motivation, I'll shall go to the FW one sometime...*shrugs*

YES! Love it!

I haven't been a while, though.

I'm thinking of going to Kalachandji's tomorrow night. There's something about that place that is peaceful and grounding to me

I have fallen in love with Kalachandji's.

As for Ali Baba's, I'm surprised I hadn't been there yet.

Falafels there are certified vegan?

I've been WAY minimalistic lately. Rice, black beans, and guac. Sometimes corn.

I'll get back to my usual "medium salsa as well" ways soon, I'll try it again tomorrow.

Same. I've stopped getting the corn. Rice, beans, salsa. Period.

That's all it takes, you still get like 20 Gs of protein or so, and lots of calories.

I'm moving to the Spanish Steppes apartments in October, right by Upper Greenville. That puts me quite a bit closer to Spiral Diner, so maybe I can finally go there.

I think Spiral Diner is pretty amazing. I go to the one in Fort Worth, which tastes amazing. I don't think you'll be disappointed

Eclipse 27,

This is too weird! I live at Spanish Steppes! Small world, huh?

I have been to Spiral Diner once with a friend. You'll also be closer to Kalachandji's!

You do know that Spanish Steppes will eventually be demolished, right?

Hah!

That's pretty weird indeed.

And yeah, I'm probably only going to be there for 6 months, so I'll probably be gone way before they demolish the place.

Definitely is a small world

Sweet. I may have to take you up on that offer sometime.

I had somehow managed to get my omni friend to come. She had a patty melt and raved about how it "tasted like real meat."

*shrugs* whatever floats her boat. She's a bit fickle though, because she's like.."I see how much better you look since you've became vegan so I want to at least become a vegetarian....except for chicken soup. I love chicken soup."

o_0

I was shopping with her after all...and I had no problem helping her pick out an omni diet. But she felt some odd need to try to "impress" me. I could tell by the way she was saying things.

It was really sad.

Also Eclipse, I am unsure if I agree or not, but I've taken a few ladies to Cosmic Cafe. Only issue is, that restaurant is currently on fire.

Lol Being on fire is GENERALLY a bad thing

Maybe that's just my opinion though

I need to get out sometime. My car blew up on 360 yesterday. Flames, smoke, the whole ordeal.

I'm NOT a happy camper right now

There's also Suma Veggie (which I haven't been to yet) and Veggie Garden on Arapaho just west of 75 (http://www.theveggiegarden.com/). I've been to Veggie Garden and it was pretty good last time I went.

And, I can never get enough of Spiral Diner... Yum!

Thanks for the heads up on the other Ali Baba's! I'll have to let my friend in Dallas know. She's been in mourning.
