I'm a born again veg and new to the SA area. Thank goodness for Green's restaurant downtown! Out of this world vegan hotdogs and every item on their menu we've tried has been heaven.

I don't live in SA but will be going there for vacation in September.  Good to know about Greens.  I'm hoping I won't have to drive all the way to Austin for a good vegan meal out!

I'd also love a recommendation for a good (REALLY good) margarita in SA.  During my first trip, I had high hopes of a great margarita along the river walk, but unfortunately it was probably the worst margarita in my life.  Now I'm on the hunt for a good one!

Me me me!  I know your post is a couple of years old, but I thought I'd give it a shot and see if you're still around.  My girlfriend and I have been vegetarians for 7 months now and have started a podcast and website.  Send me a shout out if you see this. hi.gif

Me too! Have y'all been to Vegeria restaurant on Broadway, inside Loop 410? It's all vegan, a bit pricey but a delicious treat when you get tired of cooking.

In case anyone looks here...

There is a Small Indian restaurant called Pavani Express on the corner of Evers Rd and Wurzbach Rd.
It's not pretty or fancy. It's cheap. It's really delicious. It's all veg*n.
They make a great dosa.

If you've ever been to India, you might notice this place is set up just like the little Brahman food stalls in South India.
My wife really likes it because it reminds her of home.
