Oh, a long road trip. That sounds like fun. But I can't help you with your question.

Wow the last place I thought I would ever see Knoxville mentioned.

I actually spent more than two years in Knoxville (earned my master's degree from UT - go Vols!), but I was not a vegetarian at a time so I am sorry to say I never went to those two places. But I will say that they both had pretty positive reputations and I'm sure you can't go wrong with either.

Sorry never been to Knoxville. Looked up their menus online though and neither appear to be vegetarian. The Sunspot menu had lots of veggie options, but isn't exclusively vegetarian. Probably the best you can do though! Good luck.

Are you talking about Kashmir Indian Restaurant on 17th? If so, I used to walk by there a lot but never went in (I know I know, I'm a lot of help ...). For what it's worth, it always looked empty and I never knew anybody who ate there, but I think that was more because it was an Indian place in the South.

Sorry that those two places weren't what you were looking for (Tomato Head and Sunspot). Well, best of luck on your trip and I hope you have a nice time in your night in Knoxville. I miss the place!

I'd personally reccomend The Tomato Head...the kepner melt is amazing. and their vegan cupcakes are sooo good ^^

Tomo on Kingston Pike, while not exclusively veg, has really good veggie sushi and other vegetarian entrees. The Mellow Mushroom (2 locations: the Strip or Campbell Station) is a sweet pizza place that has many vegetarian options. Charlie Pepper's on the strip has some good options as well. Pelancho's Mexican Grille has a good veggie chimichanga and other veggie options (although I live in a suburb of Knoxville and personally prefer our Mexican restaurant, El Cantaritos :P ) Organic Roots Cafe on Kingston Pike is supposed to be good, even though I've never been. I'm looking at their menu right now and they seem to be 100% vegetarian and can serve raw.
