Took me a second to figure out why people were posting totally irrelevant comments with every post, then I realized that they were siggys

DELETED TEXT HERE OF YESTERDAY: update.....

ETA... I've done away with the banner bekoz of the new sig line format, handed to us has altered some more since yesterday when I wrote the above (about my banner) so please don't blame me now if I'm out of synch or if people like kpickell cannot read it due to small screen. I have more to do than mess about with siglines.

However I keep various signatures to try and keep up with any changes made

whereby the format of sigtext altered which then means i have to alter too.

[ I DELETED MY INTIAL POST **RIGHT HERE AS OF YESTERDAY** because since further update by admin, I have this ETA to add below.....

ETA... I've done away with the banner bekoz I give up tyring to get the right spacing and size since todays new sig line format handed to us. Format of font and/or text size has altered some more since yesterday when I wrote the above (about my banner) so please don't blame me now if I'm out of synch or if people (no names) cannot read it due to a small screen. I guess I'll just try and alternate my various sigs depending on which fits best with which format in use, so that I can

keep up with the various changes whereby the format of sigline is altered in someway shape or form, meaning many of us have to alter too, especially when displaying a largish sig, which some people don't like bunched up on one hand, and others can't abide elongated horizontally so.....its a no win situation.

Surely using another font entirely would be most remedial and visually pleasing than is so at the moment whereat now you see the sig has the same font as the main posting text.

Intentional and slight faintness of text is no problem per se.... but would look better moreover using a different, slightly more elegant font for the sig with a slight boldness (if using faint or grey text) .

Two considerations I recommend that might look good are:

Eras Light ITC

Palatino Linotype,

Of course other fonts may have their place too, which may do just as good that perhaps I don't know about.

NOW FOR ONE COMPLIMENT: I like the small spacing implementation inbetween each post, thats a change I can welcome personally! I like it bekoz this makes a individual even more obvious and clearly spotted, particularly in a long thread. Good Job there!!!!

I liked it better when the sigs were smaller. But I do appreciate the fact that they are still greyed out. I'll have to get used to the new buttons, but I like having the site look uniform like this.

I thought the buttons looked much nicer, myself.

I wish the signatures were on the bottom of the posts versus being underneath the words in the post. Is that possible?

I don't have a problem with the changes, but I kind of agree with mikey. Sig at bottom would be less distracting.

VegA, your signature looks better in this format than in the banner format.

I like the "report / quote / reply" better than the little icons. Signatures, I could do without them any way they're being displayed.

I humbly submit that buttons are more visual, so they are easier to find quickly. In my haste, I have edited three posts today that I meant to quote instead.

Also, I dig the spaces between posts, and I prefer the signature further down and smaller, though I don't care all that much one way or another, so long as they don't go off the edge of my browser window even at high resolutions.

ETA usually means estimated time of arrival.

I remember trying it before (sigs on bottom) and not liking it for some reason. I may try it again if I get bored.

ETA that I am a nerd. Brain fart.
