If you have received an e-mail like this, from the e-mail address
Quote:
service@aws-paypal.co.uk', ignore it:

'You have added nigeria_hackers2009@yahoo.com as a new email address for

your PayPal account.

If you did not authorize this change or if you need assistance

with your account, please contact PayPal customer service at:

https://www.paypal.co.uk/uk/cgi-bin/webscr=_email-login

Thank you for using PayPal!

The PayPal Team

Please do not reply to this e-mail. Mail sent to this address cannot

be answered. For assistance, log in to your PayPal account and choose

the "Help" link in the header of any page.

PayPal Email ID PP28457720

It's a trick to get your details - when you hold the mouse over the link in the e-mail (not on here), look in the bottom left corner of the screen - it shows a completely different address from the one it claims to be.

In addition, it is not sent from paypal's actual service address (service@paypal.co.uk for U.K. people).

If you get an e-mail you aren't sure about the authencity of, don't click any links but open a new internet window and type in the link that you need to go to (bank address, paypal, or whatever) and log in from there.

If you have fallen victim to this scam, immediately log into your paypal account by TYPING IN the actual paypal address in a new internet window, and change your password.

I was doing my own thing quietly and YOU are the one who created this post trying to make a big deal out of it. Keep flaming the fire. That must be what you want.

Well, there's the PayComrade service I recently started. At www.paycomrade.com you can send and receive money simply by using your e-mail address. The service has only a small monthly fee of $90 and by registering as a user, you become a member of the International Stalinist Paramilitary Group, swearing that you will do your best to uphold Stalin's legacy by any means necessary. If you do not abide by the terms of this contract, your family will be shot. So all in all it's a very balanced alternative to PayPal.
