A new cooking show called Vegan Mashup is scheduled to air on PBS this fall.

The Vegan Mashup series was created to help make plant-based cooking fun and accessible for all. The show’s producer, Betsy Carson, was quoted: ”Vegan Mashup is a spin-off of my last show. I wanted to get more chefs and get more people cooking, and to show how popular plant-based recipes are.”

Vegan Mashup is being produced by Delicious TV, a Maine-based team that has been producing Totally Vegetarian, another PBS cooking show, since 2005.

The show’s first season will include six, 30-minute episodes, each featuring 3-4 recipes around a common theme. Season 1 episodes will cover breakfast recipes, cheap eats, appetizers, holidays, teen-friendly meals and Mediterranean dishes.

Each week, three amazing chefs – Toni Fiore, Miyoko Schinner, and Terry Hope Romero (plus a surprise guest chef!) – will share some of their favorite plant-based recipes. Filming for the show is now complete, and episodes will be available to air beginning in September.

This looks awesome! Can't wait grin.gif

I'm looking forward to this.

They already have 'Christina cooks', which is vegan, except she uses real Bee honey. But I've always felt it was outnumbered by severe meat cooking shows on the same channel, like 'Primal grill', 'barbeque university', maybe one more, can't remember, maybe "steak up the ass" or something like that.

But don't forget the Jazzy Vegetarian (who's totally vegan) also on PBS.

Yay! My dad has been watching cooking shows for some reason lately, so maybe he'll see this.

I just convinced him and my mom to go pescatarian (close as I could get to veg, but I'm not complaining!), so this could be potentially influential. :)
