Life expectancy calculator said I'd live longer if I ate meat

Of the 5 types of food in the Dietary Diversity List, on average i consume 4 types

I read an interesting article recently about centenarians and although their diets varied wildly the one thing they all had in common is that they dealt with stress much better than we tend to do so. They all had a social network in place and enjoyed the company of others up until the day they died.

In other words it's not the vegetarianism in and of itself that would cause us to have shorter lives, it's the fact that being vegetarian, at least for many of us, adds stress to our social lives

Kind of a ridiculous thing, it also says if you don't have any sexual partners your life with be longer, which is dumb since safe sex is proven to be beneficial to health. It also did not ask if you have kids, i got 83.9 years, but i'm pregnant, i have a feeling a kid will make that number a lot lower lol, also said if i slept 7 hours a day, instead of 8 i'll live longer, not sure where this thing gets it's information. Oh and lmao, this is instead of not drinking.

I don't do stuff specifically to lengthen my life, I do stuff to improve the life I have.

Well, most of the time, anyway.

Odd, yes. But it appears to be legit. If you Google University of Pennsylvania Wharton you will see the same subdomain.

It doesn't ask about your own health problems or stress in the last year related to your own health problems (just family history and stress related to family illness).

I got 95 years. I only eat from three food groups. I do have centenarians in my family. I bet that would give me an even longer expectancy if they asked about that.

I have a mother who is bedridden, suffering from dementia and if she lives that long, will be 95 in just over a week.

I won't be using the life expectancy calculator as I'm now much more bothered about the quality of my future life than I am about the number of years I can look forward to "living".

84.75 years, but there are definitely risk factors it isn't accounting for. Then again I was surprised to make it past 20 and even more surprised to make it past 30, so who knows?

I did it again because I didn't understand why it gave me such a low number and I thought I must have entered something wrong. It gave me 43 years this time.
