Not expert on the bill of rights, me. I would be rather surprised, though, if:

a. It contains anything that could not be biblicaly supported.

b. It contains anything that does not contravene some part of biblical teaching somewhere.

The article states: "Before this point in his speech, students had already began to leave the auditorium in protest..."

Apparently there were a few points in his speech before the Bible remarks people decided it wasn't worth their time to listen to the rest. Probably has something to do with insulting people during a speech against bullying that didn't settle with some folk.

He just 'attacked' the hypocrites that follow one specific law/rule but ignore all the other ones.

Yes I see that also , blasting means your blowing up something LOL.

As for this thread , I think there is nothing wrong with the Bible and attending church, What is wrong is hypocritical Bible thumping idiots using it to use hate and bigatory and control people to live the way they want too. Two years ago I witnessed a great man of God one of my favorite pastors get upset at the pulpit and other things because his personal life, I wish people can deal with their own problems and personal lives then barking up into other peoples personal lives.

Dan Savage is my hero. I met him and his husband about a year ago, and found them to be truly genuine, compassionate people. I'm looking forward to where this debate goes from here.
