Also I was at my local Sainsburys today and they have the Almond and Hazelnut milks on offer. 2 for £2 (ie £1 each but you need to get two to get the deal)

^ You don't get to pick what you want. You can change your preferences to try new things or to keep getting your favouties. You can say love/like/try/bin. You then get four chosen for you - based on if you choose to try new things or keep getting ones you love, and you can select "send soon" too.

Presumably if you "bin" all but 4 so you never get them, you can get the 4 you want.

I saw that. I'm gutted because I only got one almond because I figured if I didn't like it it'd be a waste to buy two... stupid because it was delicious!

Aw I like the idea that you dont know what youre getting. That way you are more likely to try new foods. Cant you click the "send soon" button so it bumps it to the top of your list?

I don't think it's stupid, I like the surprise! Although maybe they should have an option so you can either choose exactly what you want or get the surprise.

It tastes like the middle of kinder buenos! As I remember, anyway?

It probably does indeed. I'll leave you to try that out though as I hate hate hate sweetness in coffee or tea.

<3 I make this all the time at home.

Swedish Glace have their version of magnums and cornettos out. The magnum type thing in particular looks amazing - strawberry centre and chocolate coating with some sort of crunchy strawberry sprinkle stuff. They aren't exactly cheap, but I'm going to buy a box of each to try them out.

Swedish glace cornerttos have been around at Holland and Barett for a while, but I have never bought them as I always worried they would melt on the 45 minute journey home.

Also Holland and Barrett have a BOGOHP sale on everything!!! I use these sales to stock up on my favourite frys, redwoods and mama cucina stuff which is usually too expensive to have except as a rare treat Especially now I can rack up points on my H&B card too.

I'd never seen them there (although the H&Bs near me either have no freezer section or a very small one). They've just popped up in my local veg*n store within the last few days with a big ol' 'new' sticker ^.^ Can't wait to try them.

I got mine in a local HFS, it was hidden so I've only just found it. It was £2.29 (!) and comes in a can, like squirty cream. They do soya ones too. I've seen it online too though.

I love the vegan cornettos, I always buy them in the summer and they taste just like actual cornettos. Vegan icecream is indistinguishable from dairy, in my experience. I always feed it to guests who say "what? that was soya?" afterwards The magnums sound great.

I love this thread Without the UK bit of veggieboards I'd miss out on loads of vegan stuff by not realising it existed! Talking of which... does anyone know which doughnuts in coop are vegan? I've heard of them but never found them

The jam filled fresh baked ones... I saw them on the co-op vegan list I'll see if I still have it (it took me a LOT of hunting to find this out, some sites say the custard ones are too but they weren't on the list).

Ok I don't still have it but I managed to find the one from March 2010 with the '5 jam doughnuts' listed on it http://www.c-a-l-f.com/wp-content/up...March+2010.doc you can also email them for an up to date version.

On the subject of sugary wheat based cake/ biscuit items has anyone seen the vegan shortbread at Tesco? Not the free from stuff (which personally I don't rate) its in a big purple packet with 'Duncan's of deeside family recipe' on it and it is in no way marketed as being dairy free so I was impressed my mum found it. IMO it is very much like the real thing (though it's a couple of years since I've had 'real' shortbread) I took it to family's house at new years and everyone ate it happily no questions. Yum

I had forgotten about both of those things. The magnums are small but very nice.

I got a cider lolly from an ice-cream van yesterday but I have to check if the e numbers are vegan.
