Vegan starbucks drinks? - Page 27

I was dumb today and accidentally ordered a hot mocha instead of an iced one...and it was venti...so I brought most of it home and iced it myself in my Trenta reusable cold cup (which I have yet to actually get filled at a Starbucks...I use it to have 32 oz of water that fits in my cupholder in the car) and had a huge iced mocha instead.

It's 94 degrees outside so I'm sure they thought I was nuts for ordering a hot drink.

That just means MORE MOCHA! :)

I'm sure people do it all the time and they didn't give it much thought.

That's how I chose to look at it...more mocha for less money. LOL And 50% of calcium and 60% of my iron for the day.

I've been making my own passion tea lemonades at home using a diet lemonade I bought at Aldi...I can make about 6 Trenta-sized ones out of one 2-qt pitcher of brewed tea. It takes one of the large bags of tea to brew the pitcher...6 bags in the pack for $3.49...the lemonade is 69 cents a qt...very cheap PTL! ;)

If I sit inside starbucks I CANNOT order anything iced. I start shivering and my back starts to kill. They have them temp set at 60 degrees. So if I order an iced soy mocha (so amazing btw) I was to take it to go....but I usually like to sit inside and go on my laptop.

BTW I finally heard back from Starbucks regarding the one in Target not honoring the green rewards. The gist of the response was basically that the "licensed" locations can do whatever the heck they want as far as rewards go. IOW, I'm screwed.

That's crap.

Tomorrow I'm going to try an Iced Coffee with Cinnamon Dolce and soy. Wish me luck.

I wish Starbucks used Silk creamer instead of soy milk. I like my coffees light (and sweet) and having to add that much soy milk is the yuck. sad.gif

Have you tried changing around the milk to coffee ratio? The iced coffee uses a lot of coffee and just a little milk. If I'm understanding correctly, they use simple syrup to sweeten the iced coffee. I got Cinnamon Dolce in mine, I don't know if they used both the simple syrup AND CD or just the CD. It was good.

Very good!

that looks good! :)

I cheated on starbucks because I didn't feel like driving!

I walked to the dunkin literally right next to my house and got a black coconut iced coffee.

Added 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk and stevia at home

OMG SO GOOOOOD.

Does starbucks always carry the coconut flavor??

I think Dunkin Donuts uses sugarfree flavoring....

I'm pretty sure coconut is seasonal.

I'm attempting to ditch the splenda because apparently it's tested on animals :(

Some locations that aren't busy might have it for longer though -- someone mentioned earlier in this thread that theirs pretty much has the syrup year round, they just run out of the toasted coconut topping.

Sadly, most everything is.

I think it was RL who said that. I live in a high populated areas, syrups run out fast :(

Oh dana , the Starbucks queen! Do you know if a venti soy coconut frappuccino would be vegan? Like is there coconut flakes that come on top by default? Are they vegan? Hopefully you see this by tomorrow I'm going to farm sanctuary and wanted one for the carride:D

I'm almost certain that it is :) I think the topping is just toasted coconut, that's it. It's put on automatically.

The drizzle is the same thing they use to make Mochas.

I know.

I was wondering does the calorie content of "no whipped cream" include the toppings or no?

I would love to know because my drink could be either 400 orf 530 calories and if I'm having one everyday ....it would add up! SOOO OBSESSED!

The app allows you to calculate the toppings separately.
Yeah I know , But I'm pretty sure it has a glitch or maybe mine is just acting weird? There's no way in hell that a venti no whip coconut mocha frapuccino with toppings is only 10 calories less than a venti whole milk coconut frappuccino with whip & toppings????? So if anyone has a chance or if you're bored can someone look up a venti soy coconut mocha frappuccino, no whip, add coconut flake topping, add drizzle?

Venti Whole Milk W/ Whip - 550 calories, 18g fat, 89g sugar.

Venti Soy W/O Whip: 410 calories, 3.5g fat, 86g sugar.

Had to use my app for the Soy version, they don't have the soy option on their site for that one.

oh man, I have not been to this thread for a while...now I'm craving peppermint mocha!!!

doesn't matter shouldn't make that huge of a difference.

thanks :)

I just had one today SOOO good!

That's what everyone always tells me too...that they love eggs too much to ever go vegan. I don't understand the attachment. Eggs are blech. :p

I'm with you and I'm not even a vegan. Eggs have a nasty texture and smell. I'll eat them if they're baked into something, but I could definitely go the rest of my life without eating fries or scrambled eggs.
