I have the Breville version of the Keurig machine, it uses the same size k-cups, but it came with the "my k-cup" holder. I used all of the k-cups that came with the machine (I think 10 samples or something) and now I just use the holder with my own coffee. I was interested in the k-cups until I realized that they can't be recycled. What a waste! It's all good now, though, because I can use any coffee I fancy, it's less expensive and less wasteful than the stupid k-cups.

The beauty of the Keurig machines is that they brew one cup of coffee at a time, and it tastes good. Once the machine is warmed up, it takes a minute or less to brew a cup. (If you use the k-cups, there is also the benefit of convenience, as you don't have to mess with grounds or filters. As I previously said, I use the holder to use any coffee, so I still do have to empty grounds, though those go in my compost during the warmer parts of the year.)

In addition, I use mine for tea- I just put in the k-cup holder with no k-cup in it, and run hot water into my cup. My husband makes his coffee with a French press, but he heats the water in the machine. Not necessary to clean the machine or carafe out first.

I really is more convenient, the coffee tastes better because it's always fresh, and now I only need one machine on my counter rather than two (coffee maker and electric kettle). I get much better tasting coffee out of my Keurig machine than I ever did out of even an expensive coffee maker.
