A disturbing video released exclusively to Fox News by the animal rights group Mercy for Animals (MFA) shows a string of alleged abuses at one of the nation's largest pig farms, with several portions of the video so disturbing that Fox News will not show.

Below is the unedited video *WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES*

i remember watching a pig farm video several years with james cromwell narrating (i think that's who it was). not sure if i will watch this one, though.

btw, it might be good to just link to the video instead of doing the youtube code with it. some people might not even want to see the video still that's on there.

I'm not going to watch the video, but I'm sure its contents are very bad.

Unfortunately, I fear MFA won't succeed in prosecuting the abuses. I saw the HBO Undercover special "Death on a Factory Farm." Without getting too graphic, the farm's "euthanasia method" was bizarre and terribly cruel. The case took place in a rural courthouse packed with good ol' boys. The farm workers walked away with a slap on the wrist. The deck is stacked against farm animals in these cases.

And this reminds me of why I have such little hope left for the human race.

I don't know how creatures (why dignify them by calling them people) like that can possibly sleep at night, but then again, I'm not sure I'd really want an answer to that.

I don't know how that undercover investigator could have stayed there for 73 days!

I never claimed to be vegetarian because of animal rights, but this makes me want to start! Seriously, how can you treat another living creature like this!?

Because it is about human greed. Animals are seen as just a commodity and not living creatures.

Mercy for Animals is an excellent site to get all the facts about the way the food (meat) industry works.

If you are interested in knowing more about animal rights I really suggest reading Dominion by Matthew Scully, also Earthlings which can be found on google video is a very important documentry about the 5 ways non-human animals are exploited. But I will warn you, it is also very graphic.

I watched this against my better judgement and I wish I hadn't. I do hope people who eat meat and see this will reconsider their choices. It drives me crazy to know this is going on every second of every day. The sadness and terror and pain in their faces is just beyond heartbreaking.
