The show airs once a week to talk about animal issues and veganism in Vancouver, I am very excited to be a part of it so I wanted to share it with all of you.

I gave a shout-out to Veggieboards and talked about the legendary time we were invaded by a duck hunting forum, I also talk about online activism and some other stuff.

The show will be available to listen to soon (it needs to be edited first) but in the meantime check out this write-up and a picture of me with my awesome cat Moe: http://animalvoices.org/2017/09/vokra-activist-profile/

Edit: The show is now available to listen to on the site!

I have taken to responding to some of the health articles being written and today there was one on CBC
http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/second...0916-1.4292529
that is addressing Type II Diabetes.

I wrote an email to both the writer of the column and to Dr Gerstein as it is nice to see that they acknowledging the role of diet and exercise in Type II, however, they are not going far enough, in my opinion, linking the increase in Type II Diabetes to the consumption of fats and build up in the muscle cells of that fat which creates 'insulin resistance'. Dr Greger has a great video that explains it so well and, of course, Dr Barnard is a leader in this field.

I never would have thought of myself as an activist and yet we all can be, even quietly from our homes.

I was just reading that article too and I thought the same thing! It's so great that you sent an email, speaking up like that makes a huge difference.

Also I just edited the show and put it up, you can listen to it by clicking this link or the one in my original post: http://animalvoices.org/2017/09/vokra-activist-profile/
