VeganBarBro Thanks for the tips! I'll go ahead and give it a shot. I think I'm gonna start with some chili, since it's pretty much impossible to mess that up. XD

Most slow cooker meals are super easy - cut food, put food in cooker (sometimes you saute it first, usually not), let food cook for 6-8 hours. They really are the easiest way to get into cooking, and usually the temp is so low on the cookers that an extra hour won't mess up the food. Some even come with built in timers to turn the cooker off or to a keep warm function when you're done, and you can also purchase wall outlet timers to do that for you if your cooker doesn't. I love mine so much, I have a day set aside where I specifically make a meal in it. It's worth taking the plunge.

Plus the Kung Bao "Beef" recipe isn't too ingredient intensive, and the ones in it are pretty cheap, so you shouldn't have to worry about "wasting" them.

Slow Cooker Kung Bao "Beef" (Gluten Free!)

I made sure to keep this recipe completely gluten free when I made it. It's a bunch of delicious vegetables in a spicy sauce, prepped in the slow cooker for ease of prep. The only "hard part" is making sure that you have rice ready for when it's done!

It's on my Budget Vegan Tips: Slow Cooker post, for anyone who is interested. Let me know if you like it!
