erin0988 good news: it doesn't look like it has moved at all since i posted this a couple weeks ago.... i was pierced iwth a 16g, but it seems to be doing fine, no pain unless i get really sweaty.

Terror Eyes Both of mine are done, and the swelling could possibly make it look like it has shifted? And as long as they pierced fairly deep, and with a 14g "at least" it shouldn't reject it. Keep it clean, don't touch it, mess with it, poke at it, and infection won't be a problem.

stillquiet Worst piercing ever IMO, I got mine done and one tore when I was sleeping, YOW!

pulchergirl also don't clean it too much, that can irritate it.

just hang in there and keep us updated!

GingerFoxx Piercings sometimes shift around a bit as they are healing, but if you are following your proper aftercare instructions from your piercist and not wearing tight clothing or sleeping on your stomach etc, it should turn out fine, trust me. I have 17 body piercings in total

janiejones If you're wearing really tight clothing/sleeping on your stomach/anything that might press against it for long periods of time it could be directing the bottom hole a little downward, or it could simply be normal swelling that is causing the barbell to be pushed downward and it could completely go away once the swelling disappears. It's only been around a week, so you could definitely still have some swelling. Don't fuss with the barbell trying to get it to go in a different direction or over clean it (just sea salt soaks) and then I'd think you'd have done the best you could and if it does reject, it's not your fault, bodies are weird sometimes.

And just curious, what do you mean by a bent barbell? A curved one? Or actually bent with an angle? I've never seen an angled barbell, so I'm intrigued.

erin0988 i got my left nipple pierced a little over a week ago and i've been terrified of it rejecting/getting infected because i've only had one piercing that never got infected. ANYWAYS i could just be crazy, but it almost looks like the barbell (it's a bent one) has moved a little downwards like towards my belly. i don't know if i'm imagining it because it isn't sore at all or anything, it isn't even forming crusties yet, i'm just wondering if it's normal for these things to move a little or when do i know when it's not normal lol.
