Does anyone have a sundried tomato spread recipe that doesn't include tofu, or cream cheese?
The last few times that I've gone to Bruegger's Bagels (right across from work), I've been getting a very tasty sundried tomato spread, it doesn't have any dairy in it (I'm still trying to figure out if it has any weird stuff in it, and have stopped going to the bagel shop until I find out) and I was thinking that it might be a tasty thing to make at home to put on sandwiches and pizzas and if I made it at home I wouldn't have to try to hunt down the elusive customer service agent trying to find out if it's veg*n or not.

It's funny that you'd mention this..
I just got back from a picnic with a guy that I'm dating. He made a a sun-dried tomato spread that we ate on crackers (I can't remember what he was calling it!). I know that he used a food processer to make it and that it included sun dried tomatoes soaked in olive oil, kalamata olives, fresh thyme, fresh basil... I can't remember what else. I'll have to ask him tonight after he gets out of class. I'll post again later.

Sun-dried tomato tapenade is what he was calling it.
a splash of olive oil
kalamata olives
10 sun-dried tomatoes soaked in olive oil
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1 clove garlic
a few fresh basil leaves (because he bought a basil plant and basil sounded good. The recipe doesn't call for basil)
2 tbsp fresh thyme
I think that that's all that he put in it. Throw it all into a food processer until smooth and pastey. It's a spread that's heavy on tomato and olives... I can't remember how many olives he put in it but I would say 8 should do it. Salt and pepper to taste (I think that the olives are salty enough, personally).
