Hi everyone!
I'm 13 years old. I don't eat meat for 3 years. I don't drink milk and don't eat eggs for 2 years and a month. About a year ago I found out about the animal testing so I don't use those since. I also don't eat anything with Enumbers. Whoever doesn't know, it's something that may contain animal productions. Here's a site with a list of what does and what doesn't:
http://www.bryngolli...http://www.bryngollie.freeserve.co.uk/Enumbers.htm
I've copied the Enumbers you SHOULDN'T eat to a document, I attached it.
I have another problem... From genetic reason, I have very annoying acne since 3rd grade... So for that I use stuff that aren't tested on animals but may contain something from the animal. Without it I would have looked sooo horrible! I have only something to dry them, I'm gonna get now something to make my face clean every day.
Now, there's some kind of "magic" med. It's called Racuttane or something like that. It cures acne 4 ever! My sis used it, she had worse than I did. She's 22 years old. I can't do it cause I'm too young, but soon I'll be able to. But that's my prob. I checked, it's tested on animals... It made me so sad to find out that magic med is tested... As I never use tested things. It's so annoying, cause my face doesn't look good at all... Please reply what you think, thx.
I'm a vegan, and got a little prob... What do you think please?

I wonder if you've looked into the various forms of the Elimination Diet. I wouldn't do anything too crazy but some of the Elimination Diets are more "normal" and may possibly help you in your situation. I've heard they have cured all kinds of problems from eczema to mental problems.

ok, here's one site I found.
But get advice from other VBers on the elimination diet because I don't know too much about it.

It sounds to me like you have spent a lot of your life already looking out carefully for the animals. I don't think taking accutane for a short while will take too much away from it. You can't let every little thing upset you or it will get to the point of obsession, and thats not good for you or the animals in the long run, if you burn yourself out on veganism!
Every person who takes any medication, knows that its been tested on animals. That's every woman on the pill, every man or woman on blood pressure medication, AIDS medication, cancer meds, allergy meds. Some things you just can't help right now and if you need a medication, I think it is ethical to use it. Given how much you already do for the animals, this one thing won't make that big a deal, be proud of what you do already and keep it up, but don't let this one thing get you down.

Hey, I checked out the site! Thank you so very much! I think it could help, but not for long run... As I'm already a vegan and don't wanna start for all of my life not to eat things I really really like... So it will be much better then get being worse... But ty very much, I might ask in that forum some quests. Thank you again!

OMG - miracle medicine?!?! Roaccutane is dangerous!!!! The possible side effects of roaccutane are far too serious to even contemplate taking it, and yes I have suffered very bad acne (so I do know what it's like) I'm not trying to be a scaremonger or anything but I have a friend who took that junk for 4 months and her liver is now the equivalent of a 40 odd year old alcoholics, and on top of that her acne did come back..additionally a further known complication can be infertility and I know in another post you mentionaed a desire to have children one day. Anyway it's always a bad sign for a medication when if you have ever been on it, you are ineligible for employment as a police officer or in the armed forces, as is the case with roaccutane here.
Anyway to summarise, what I am really saying is do some SERIOUS research before taking that stuff, and after researching thoroughly if you still decide to take it then at least you are making an educated decision :)

Thx for the worry, but yes, of course I checked :). Also my sis used it. Roaccutane is known for its risk in the liver, there for for the all time you take it, you should be careful about what you eat. I was on a meeting with a professional skin doctor. So was my sis. I won't have any problem with the liver, since I'm a vegan lol. And yes, in 1% of the cases, during the healing all the zits come on your face and it looks more aweful than always. only in 1% of the cases. But if you stick with it, it will go away as planned after about 9 months. Thx for the worry!

Elimination Diets are about finding out what foods cause the problems -- not about giving up foods for life. So once you are on the "pure" part of the diet and the acne would go away you introduce the other foods back into your diet one at a time and note any problems. Foods that cause problems are eliminated forever and other foods that are introduced back into your diet that don't cause problems are yours to eat. :)
It may not be just "sugar foods" that cause problems. In fact it may not be that at all. It could be some food that is a minor allergen just to you.
But elimination diets don't work all the time for everyone. But, yeah, I'm just wary of any chemical drug. They do often have long term side effects that show up after like 20 years.
You do sound well read and well researched so I think you'll make a good decision -- both ethically/morally and health wise.
Acne problems aren't just about looks. It can affect esteem and then mental health and ultimately then physical health. I just wish you could find a natural way to deal with this.
Maybe try google seaching "natural acne cures" or something.
Good luck!!
