http://www.petloss.com has a lot of nice poems and memorials that I find helpful when I lose a pet.

And you shouldn't. I'll get grief from some on my views but they're unshakable. I believe they do. Not a different one, but the only one. Owners and pets alike have the chance to be together after this plane. If you're worried about keeping him close to your thoughts now, you can do somthing to remember him. Make a donation (can even be a donation of time at a local shelter) in his memory. Make a scrapbook of pictures you might have of him. Write down in a journal to his memory all of the thoughts, dreams, recollections you have. Don't set the date he passed as the way to remember him. It's senseless to have a day each year that surfaces to bring only pain. If he had a birthday that you know of, make that a day to do somthing for other animals. But as you cared so much for him, don't let that loss be a reason for not allowing another animal, in time, enter your life and be graced by the same caring you had for your dog. Good owners are hard to find-!.. Oh, and I don't care if folks think I'm a loon or not, I still talk to my Boo-Boo Bear, she was 16 and passed some 4 years ago. I think she can hear me. T.

Ditto! I have no doubt that my babies will be there when I....die.
Don't worry about your little sweetie! They're probably running around, playing, with Scamper and Steffani.
