So, this is just the latest birther comment that I've seen that appears to question whether Obama actually went to Harvard:

How come I haven't heard even a single, fake, imaginary Harvard Law School classmate or Law school professor defend obama's incompetence. Why would Obama seal his academic records at Harvard when Obama should be proud of his grades since Obama supposedly graduated magna *** laude at Harvard Law School. What is Obama afraid of or ashamed of his Harvard academic records. Is obama hiding something by not releasing his birth certicate but only releasing the Certificate of live birth not natural born citizenship. Why employ so many lawyers to seal and hide these simple records and birth certificate. Is Barack the same as Michelle Obama for not being proud to be an American and listen to Rev. Wright's sermon for 20 years to " God damn America".

Can someone shed any light on this? Is the contention that Obama's entire past is faked?

Wow - that's just stupid. I can almost see the point of the usual "he may have been born elsewhere, then brought to Hawaii" nonsense from the birthers. But the fact that he was at Harvard is easily confirmed. Heck, head to a library with a good back issue collection of the New York Times and look up the February 6, 1990 article about him becoming president of the Harvard Law Review, if you think this online version of that article is fake.

True, he does claim that Obama's past (even apart from his birth) is "murky", and has implied that there was something shady about his school years; perhaps he can shed light on this.

Hehe. I hadn't noticed that, until you pointed it out.

Perhaps it didn't filter you because it knew you would never say anything that wasn't squeaky clean?
