For those of you who have tried it, does it taste like Hellman's Real Mayonnaise or more like Miracle Whip? Or something a bit different?

I know Vegenaise has at least two different versions, so I'll ask about "original flavor".

Kind of like MircleWhip, slightly. But very delicious.

Just sec, I've got all three in my fridge and I'll see how they compare.

Lol.

Yeah, it's been so long since I've had 'regular' mayonnaise that I can't remember what they're like. I think it's probably more like a standard mayonnaise than Miracle Whip.

I've tried two versions of it and they both taste really good and as far as I recall, quite similar.

It's delicious and if you haven't tried it yet, you should stop what you're doing, go buy some, and make yourself a sammich!

I've tried a few vegan mayo substitutes. The Grapeseed oil Veganaise is definitely my favourite.

Its been too long to tell you how it compares to miracle whip or mayo

I haven't had actual mayo in a million years, but I will second that Vegenaise is delicious. Also, I've had people who DO eat mayo try it and most said Vegenaise was better.

Honestly I think it's BETTER than the "real" versions. For sure closer to hellman's than the disgusting miracle whip.

For the record, other vegan mayo like (Nasoya I believe?) sucks. Don't even bother.

Use it to make a ranch dressing with tofutti sour cream.

I hate mayo and if veganaise tastes anything like it, then I guess I should not try it...

No reason to worry, while some other imitation veggie products ain't too good, vegenaise is just as good if not better.

It tastes so good! Much better than mayonaise or miracle whip. I finally bought some a few weeks ago and omni dh loves it as well. We make chickpea sandwhiches (mock tuna), and VLTs. I've used it in a few recipes also. I highly recommend it. I can't believe I waited so long to try it!

I think the taste is closer to mayo than Miracle Whip but is definately not identical. I would say it has a slightly more oily flavor to it, but it is very good.

As others have said, I haven't had mayo or Miracle Whip in so many years that I don't remember enough about how they taste to compare, but all three types of Veganaise that I've tried are really, really good - no comparison to the other vegan brand.

Thanks, everybody! I was at the local health-food co-op this week and saw Vegenaise in the coolers. I've got home-grown cucumbers and tomatoes on the way, and was wondering if this stuff would make good sandwiches. Sounds like it might.

Definitely tastes more like mayo than miracle whip...just not as thick as real mayo.

If you like putting mayo or miracle whip on your sandwiches, you'll definitely like Veganaise... I don't use a lot of mayo in my foods, but occasionally, I'll use this instead and it tastes great!

The only down-side to Vegenaise is that when you get down to the last 1/4 of the jar it starts to get more runny. Has anyone else experienced this?

Can't you get it from a North American store that'll ship to you ?

It needs to be kept refrigerated. It's not shelf-stable.
