Ok. The original slut for power got too long for the system to handle. So let's continue it here.

Slut! Slut I say!

(But slut wisely, and slut well. This is basically a fre-form off-topic rant, not a vehicle for abuse of Michael's patience... )

Slut on, VBians!!

Let me begin:

So, how about that local sports team?

Im going to protest this thread by boycotting it, i dont think Avalon should have as much power over post counts as she does. She has hinted in the past about this power and that she would use it. This power should be seen as a weapon of mass destruction and we should head it off at the pass, I say we call in Bush and get things done right.

I'M BACK!!!! I had a totally awesome God-filled week, and I'm completely, definitely exhausted. This is going to be my only post tonight.

So, yeah, I come back and I don't think I recognize this place anymore! Would someone mind giving me a crash course in what VB has become in the past 9 days?

Please be joking, Majake.

I wouldn't do that anyway. I have too much respect for the community. LAugh if you will.

You have missed a hell of a lot of ill will this week, so suffice to say, it's reasonable of me to think you're not kidding.

Welcome back, Skylark.

In addition to the loads of interesting and meaningful things you did while you were away, did you get to talk to Mr. Gorgeous?

Tell all! ^^;;

We see the world as "we" are, not as "it" is; because it is the "I" behind the "eye" that does the seeing.

New Zealand is the place to be... sigh...

Ananova:

Arm wrestling contest settles business dispute

A £70,000 dispute between two New Zealand companies was settled in a best-of-three arm-wrestling match.

The chief executives of telecommunications companies Teamtalk and MCS Digital squared off after they were unable to reach an agreement on access to a mobile radio network.

The dispute was heading for the courts before the two firms agreed to the unusual settlement.

Defeated TeamTalk chief executive David Ware told ABC News Online: "Sure, losing hurts but not nearly as much as paying lawyers' bills."

Hey, Gazumper...

If I'm not mistaken about your being in the UK, would you mind helping me with some slang?

I'm writing something and I want to use it correctly. ^^;;

Hey, Ceryna...

Of course I'll help you out! I can't say that I'm the most knowledgable person in British slang, but I'll have a go

There was a link to a "slang-dictionary" here on VB, maybe you can find it with the search option.

Slang can be very tricky because the same word can have different meanings in different area's.

That's true, 1Vegan.

I'm not making a serious case-study of British slang...I'm just writing a little fanfic and I don't want to mess it up. ^^;;

Gazumper, do you have any instant messengers? I know this is the sluttery, but I don't want to clog it up too much. ^^;;

AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH

§May there always be work for your hands to do;

§May your purse always hold a coin or two;

§May the sun always shine on your windowpane;

§May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;

§May the hand of a friend always be near you;

§May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Apple,

I was on two different service trips. One was 8 days long to my own hometown (I left a little early), and the other was only 2 days, and that was to Columbus. I got back yesterday at 4:30pm, and by 5, I was sound asleep. My mom woke me up at 9pm, to make sure I didn't have anything I had to do yet that day. I went back to bed at 10 and got up this morning at 6:30. I'm still very very tired, but I'm functioning.

Ceryna,

I did get to talk with Mr. Gorgeous, but not as much as I would have liked. I've found him to be as good or better than I hoped he would be, and of course he isn't perfect. Alas, he probably only thinks of me as the Euchre Champion, but that's a start. My sister and I totally trounced him at Euchre several times on the trip. It wasn't my fault-- we just had good cards!!!

I better run to class, but it's good to be back! I have an incredibly big load of things I have to do for the second half of this semester, so I'm expecting to sacrifice VB-time for other worthwhile endeavours.
