They have a sandwich called veggie delight. I ate it once, it was okay. I was lacto at the time, so I don't think many of their breads are vegan.

Yes, the "Veggie Delite" is a standard menu item. You pick what bread they use and what they put on it. IIRC the sawdust white bread is vegan; the whole wheat has honey. You can get it with mustard (mayo if you're still ovo-lacto), vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, oregano, iceberg lettuce, bell peppers, cucumbers, pickles, tomatoes, olives, pepperocini, jalapenos. Some places may have carrots and spinach too, and every once in a great while I've seen *Field Roast*.

Like any other prepared food, what they throw together for you doesn't look nearly as pretty as the advertising, but at least it's possible.

The Veggie Delite is basically a sandwich without meat.

Some have a garden burger, some don't. Some that do don't have it on the menu. You just have to ask.

the "veggie delight" is just a sandwich with no meat and your choice of the regular toppings. the toppings i've seen include iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, bell pepper, cucumber, pickles, olives, jalapeños, pepperoncinis, and avocado (for an extra charge).

Pretty much clear across Canada (I think... I've been to quite a few on 'Family Trips' where fast food is 'required.') they have a "Veggie Max" patty... I wouldn't know if it was vegan though, I guess you'd have to e-mail them. (Although I'm guessing not.) If you get it toasted it's pretty good, although pretty tasteless. I just find that without it I don't get full on bread, cheese, veggies and ranch dressing.

The patties are ovo-lacto, at least in the US. Definitely not vegan.

That's true. Our Subway has the veggie max patty and the ingredients list egg whites and casein.

The white bread there is vegan, so that's what I usually get...just ask them to give you a freshly baked one and it'll be pretty good. I get mine with mustard, vinegar and oil, salt, pepper, bell peppers, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and avocado. Now I'm hungry. Grrr.

Oh I didn't know the breads were vegan. I'm not too keen on white bread anyway. I usually just have the salad.

The Subway shops around here charge too much now for a foot-long veggie sub - 4.25 . That's too much and they don't give you yellow onions on them now, you have to take the purple ones, I used to order the veggie subs when they were cheaper and put a garden burger on them at home. Even some of their other subs are cheaper than the veggie subs.

I lived at subway as a struggling college student in the 90s in Los Angeles. I've only been back on occasion since then. I ate the Veggies & Cheese minus the cheese. It's called a Veggie Delite now. And now they have oodles of breads to choose from and nummy sauces and lots of veggies. They had the veg patty thing, but it didn't appeal to me.

I went to subway here in louisana recently, and had one. It was umm, not impressive. Not really sure what's different. I LOVE Roly Poly, though. They have an extensive veg menu.

Only the white bread is vegan. We have reason to believe the roasted garlic bread might be vegan, but we're not sure.

yess--some have the veggie delight--some have veggie patties and burgers--but most will make any sand that you want any way that you want...but if you want the special veggie stuff..you do have to ask..cause according to them---its not in high demand.

peace and love

I understand from my local Subway that they are eliminating the veggie-max sandwich (the veggie burger) from the menu. I've been to a couple that don't have it and see no mention of it on their website, so it may be happening chain-wide.

Actually, I enjoy the veggie-delight sandwhich. I am glad to see there is actually a fast food chain where you can get something without having to order something special.

For more info about Subway and their veg*n options, please see their Website under nutrition FAQs.

I will have to agree with you, Roly Poly is the best! warm veggie goodness in a wrap...

i also really like subway because its one of those rare places i dont have to create some 'weird' off menu item to eat. its very easy to order and fit in with all my friends. i normally order the veggie delight (no cheese) in one of their new wraps

It's never been an obligatory menu item, and a lot of stores never added it.

I love veggie sandwiches. Well, I didn't like subway's. It's nasty to me. There was a store that had a food part in it. Me and my sister use to go there allllllllllll the time to get there veggie sandwich. Oh my goodness, it was sooooooo good. Haha. I loved it. So, one day my sister and I decided that we would go there and get another one ( i've had it lots of times). Well, they had raised the price. We are so mad. Haha. I like dangggggg, I don't pay for that (i didn't have enough money for it). Haha. So, my sister and I went to subway to see if they had one. They did. I hated it, and so did she. It was so nasty to me. I guess I was so use to getting the one from the other place. But I didn't like the one at subway. This was in 2003 yall.

That store isn't there anymore.
