Kidney Bean Filled Flatbread (Georgian)

I made this fantastic Georgian recipe, it was delicious and it has so much potential to be adapted using any number of other fillings. Spinach and feta? Pizza? Curry? Yum!!

That sounds great! I'd like to offer up an idea I've been using-to soak cooked beans in marinade.
I was finishing a jar of jalepanos and used the remaining peppery marinade to simmer cooked pintos with. They were so delicious on their own! Perfect for a stuffed sammy like this!

That looks fantastic! I love your blog and have it in my recipes bookmarks.
I love to put refried beans in pitas with veggies; this looks similar but much fresher and yummier. I'm posting the photo from your blog.

Wow, that looks good! You always post such interesting foods I've never heard of, like that sandwich cake!

Thanks guys Yum Ledboots, refried beans would be great in this! You could put refried beans, salsa, cornchips and some kind of vegan cheese in them and make nachos bread. The Georgians would probably be horrified but I love crazy fusion foods!!

@silva, that sounds yummy. I'm always wondering if there is a way I can use things like pickle juice rather than throwing away. I might have to give that a try.
