You'd get a lot better performance using a less bloated interface such as fluxbox or openbox. I'm not 100% sure what OS you're using there though, but I'm guessing just a skinned windows, you'd get better performance from something like Gentoo GNU/Linux which you could customise to perform much better than windows could.
Well games that run natively, army ops, doom 3, UT{2003,2004} + mods, enemy territory, all quake games & there are many other non FPS games, but FPS games are about all that would push that thing, also there is the 64bit ut2004 client for GNU/Linux, what is the point in running a 32bit OS with 32bit apps on a 64bit machine? It's an insane waste of money, it's utterly pointless.
Oh also www.nexuiz.com which is a pretty awesome Libre-Software FPS game.
Games have become so boring now, oh and HL2 runs virtually perfectly under cedega which is like a windows compatibility thing for games.
I gathered that he didn't want help with anything and was just showing off his computer. But I don't know much about building computers, so it all went over my head.
No, he was just showing off how he's pushed the processor speed up which can shorten it's life. Silly pointless thing to do today when processors are so fast anyway.
I build my PC several months ago and am quite happy with it, but I won't OC.
Not just because of the dangers to the hardware, but there are several degrees of geekdom and if I OC my PC, I fear I will have crossed over to one I'm not comfortable with.
It's hardly geeky anymore, it's not hard to do at all. It's about as geeky as someone that plays counter strike and world of warcraft, gamer is the lowest common geek.

I'm going to OC my G3 from 400MHz to 500. It's especially easy on that machine as all you have to do is move a jumper. I just hope it gives it the boost it needs.
I've been trying to figure out a way to boost my clock speed up to about 3 ghz (processor binned at 3.06ghz, but for some reason is running underclocked at about 1.8ghz) through software tampering (instead of hardware, since I don't particularly trust myself with a screw driver in close proximity to sensitive equipment) without success.
As for your specs, all I can say is, 1 meg of L2 cache is insane.
Sorry if I seemed elitest, I was probably frustrated at my annoying gamer friend who knows nothing about computers yet has been using them for almost as many years as me, it's so frustrating!! He now says he hates computers, just because he always installs every stupid flashing thing that he sees and continues to run windows.
