They're all very beautiful! I have a dream of someday owning or at least working for a farm animal sanctuary. Cows have been my favorite animals for a long time.

One question, are the rings in the bulls nose really necessary? I realize they probably got them before coming to you (I think?) But can't you take them out? Or do they serve some purpose I'm not aware of?

I am certainly a cow lover! You must have read my mind as I was just talking about cow protection in another thread.

I am so proud of you (and jealous ) that you are so devoted to the cows. Love the pics and love hearing about their individual personalities.

They look magnificent! Thanks for posting the photos, I don't get to see cows up close very often anymore.

They are lovely!

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that we don't have all that many brown spotted cows in the US. We have lots of black and white cows, and lots of mostly solid brown cows, but the brown spotted don't seem to be too common - around here, anyway. What kind are they?

I love the story of Laxman. Thank you!

What a bunch of sweetie pies! How wonderful to see these precious creatures living the lives they deserve. I just want to scratch those big ol' heads and stare into those enormous brown eyes. Love Anabanana's "classroom management" technique. Thanks for the wonderful pics. Your work must be very satisfying.

AND we won't be mad at you should you feel the need to post more pics at any time.

Oh how sweet! I pass cows a lot since I travel through rural areas a lot. My dream is to pet or hug one since I've never actually been up close to one, I heard they are actually very sweet mannered. Laxmans has such a sweet loving face

How could anyone eat a cow if they saw these pictures? Lol, cows scare me a bit, but I'm cool with adoring them (and def not eating them!)

That would break my heart to hear that. Especially when they know that they are in a place where cows are sacred. Do you guys give tours or something? Just curious.

I can't imagine what it's like being at Bhaktivedanta Manor. Our place here is sooo tiny/austere in comparison! I hope one day to be able to visit.

I love cows, but they make me sad at the same time, just like my ducks - so sweet and so absolutely vulnerable, and look what we do to them.

Oh wow. It would be extremely difficult for me to restrain myself from giving them a very hard smack on the head!
