Thanks, Vicky. Those look awfully skinny in the shaft, though. I'm surprised that there aren't more places out there that carry cruelty free ones.

We should have some in at VeganEssentials.com in the next week - Earth footwear has come out with an Ugg-like boot called the Tofu and it should be already on the way here. I don't have a picture to post as of yet, but if you check our site next week we should hopefully have them in stock!

Yay! I've been looking for these. Could you bump the thread when you get the Tofus in at VeganEssentials?

I found the Earth Tofu boots on the Earth site- http://www.earth.us/shoedetail2.asp?...ffset=6&ID=213

They're a bit pricey, but the brand is high quality, so I'm sure well worth it.

They also have this style- http://www.earth.us/shoedetail2.asp?...ffset=6&ID=211

Ryan from VeganEssentials.com here again! I've got good news and bad news on the Tofu boots -

Good news is, we received some in stock earlier than expected as a shipment came in today rather than next week. They'll be on our site by tomorrow, so look for them really soon!

Bad news is, we didn't get all the sizes and we won't have a full run until early to mid November Apparently there was a production problem and this delayed most of the size run for a few weeks, so we currently only have in 6, 9.5 and 10 in stock for now. This came as a shock and nobody told us about it until this morning, but we're getting in the other sizes the first moment they're available. So, that part stinks, but it shouldn't be more than a few weeks and we'll have everything in full stock for the holiday season!

Yes, these are in women's sizes, so we do have what you need!

The boots will be held up for going on our site until Sunday evening, but they will be on around that time. Also, if you need to save a bit on them, we've got a newsletter that will have a coupon for 10% off on these coming out in around 8-10 days, so you can always get in on this as well to save almost $10.00 on these boots. Never spend full price if you don't have to! If you're not on our newsletter list, the signup is on the front page of our site in the lower left hand corner, and I hope that news of the discount helps to anyone who might wish to spend less on the vegan products they need!

I want ankle-high ones. The mid-calf styles look like they might not fit over my mighty legs.

I found this link to ugg-style boots in the shoe hussy thread- http://www.heidifleiss.com/Merchant2...egory_Code=0-3

as well as these-

http://electriqueboutique.com/shop/p...=COOKIE-02-TAN

There's also a taller version of these- http://electriqueboutique.com/shop/p...=COOKIE-01-TAN

While looking around that last sight, I also found these (I'm assuming the fur is faux, though you may want to ask first before ordering)-

Are these the ones from Delias? http://www.delias.com/item.do?catego...6&itemID=43409 They're the only ones that I could find on their site that weren't real suede.

And these are the only ones I could find at Alloy's that didn't have suede- http://store.alloy.com/catalog/brows...06&PARENT=1011 Very similar to the fluff mommas!

Zappos has these, too- http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2702770/c/559.html

I've looked at all the links, and i think the most "uggyish" one is http://www.heidifleiss.com/Merchant2...egory_Code=0-3

I bought the ones on the Heidi Fleiss website and they are really not good quality. I had real Uggs in my pre-vegan days and they are nothing like them. They aren't even comfortable!

That's too bad. Thanks for letting us know, though. I was going to order them in another day or two but now I think I'll reconsider.

heh, i celebrated my 25th birthday in australia, and was given a pair of real ugg boots as a gift. this was mere weeks before i decided to go vegan. but i wore them at home and everyone made fun of me for them. ugg IS short for ugly you know. that's why i think it's funny that they are so fashionable now.

I went shopping today and found three stores that had vegan style uggs. I didn't get any of them because they were kind of cheaply made, but if anyone's looking for some cheap ones, check out Claire's, Deb & TJ Maxx.

sorry, i don't know

i love looking at them b/c they're so pretty, but i don't think i would wear them since wearing a skirt in the winter is a pain and i don't believe in wearing boots when it's still hot. so that's why i'm not buying them...

they look like they should be good quality though (atleast to me they do)

I really like the way they look. But for winter in Indiana, I don't think they're very practical. It's wet here too much, and suede-like materials don't deal well with getting wet.

I still might get some though... Ug may be short for ugly, but I think they are cute.

I like pug dogs too.

I sent email to Alternative Outfitters about the boots that lace up, with the pompom ties. Here's the response:

Quote:

Dear Laura,

The boots are open and held with the laces, so they should be fine. They do

run about 1/2 small on some people, so you may want to keep that in mind

when ordering as well.

Thanks!

Subject: faux shearling boots

Hi, I have a question about your vegan faux-shearling boots, the

ones with the laces and pompom ties. Are they open on the side,

and held with the laces? Or are they sewn shut, and the laces

are just decorative? They are mighty cute, but I do not have

slender calves and I fear narrow boots.

Thanks, Laura

I wanted to share in case anyone was thinking of ordering them. Running a half size small is important to know... my feets like lots of toe-room.
