Treeline cashew cheese...

This was the first Christmas that I have been dairy-free, so you could imagine my excitement when King Soopers started carrying Treeline cashew cheese. I excitedly bought two tubs of their Herb Garlic flavor.

I opened it up, spread it onto a whole grain cracker, and... It's absolutely disgusting. It does not even vaguely taste like an herby garlic spread, much less a cheese. I was devastated. It actually tastes like dill pickles! How on earth does it have good reviews?! I was ashamed to share it with my omnivore family members... And at $7.99 a tub I'm not too keen on giving it another shot. Has anyone else had any luck with this brand?

I think Ne Chevre (Not Goat) is the best spreadable cold cracker cheese on the market. I'm also NOT a fan of Treeline, I tried it once and found it gag-worthy of the price. Bought the Lava version of Ne Chevre a month or two ago and found it worthy of fancy crackers - at a picnic, party, or personal day at a museum when you want to feel elegant.

It's honestly the only vegan cheese I've enjoyed cold as a luxury and I live in LA where this kind of stuff is plentiful to a jealous degree.
