Everything Is Bigger In Texas! Portobello Cheese Steak, House Salad and Mexican Brown Rice

I got to travel to the state where the stars are bright and found some AWESOME places to eat. Vegeria is San Antonio's first all-vegan restaurant, serving tex-mex and American cuisine. If you're every in San Antonio, skip the allamo and the riverwalk and heads towards vegeria instead, especially on saturdays. I'm still thinking about that donut!

Why was there nothing like this when I was squatting in San Antonio...its was jsut big spread out boring town...ok the art silos where kinda hip and the old grain mill place was fun to go climb (though creepy inside, tons of rats attracted by all the old grain)

At first glance, I thought it was that deep fried butter I have heard about.

I love San Antonio! It doesn't hurt that I'm from there.

I visited Green's (they are vegetarian, tons of vegan stuff and most veg stuff can be veganized) when they first opened and they were the first all veg place I'd been to. LOVED IT. Every time I visit I have to go to Green's. I haven't been to San Antonio since Vegeria opened up but it's the first place I'm heading to next time I visit. The first time I went back to visit as a vegan I was a bit worried about food but it turned out to not be a problem at all.

yup, San Antonio is changing. It's a fun place to visit, especially the Tea Garden!
