How long do you keep opened non-dairy items in your fridge after opening? I'm talking about products like Tofutti Sour Cream and Cream cheese.
I have both items opened in my fridge right now; the sour cream has been in there for about a week since I added onion soup mix to it. The cream cheese has been in there for about a month. The best by dates are for very long, but nothing mentions after opening. Both have no signs of spoiling besides the usual separate of sour cream. I have been using the dip I made, but I am curious if a month is pushing it for the cream cheese.
