Yay tempeh!

I bought some tempeh the other day, but I'm kind of at a loss for how I should prepare it. I thought about making some tempeh bacon, but I'm not sure. What are some of your favorite tempeh recipes?

There's a lot you can with tempeh!
I love to slice it kinda thin and marinate for a while in -
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon (or more to taste) liquid smoke
1 teaspoon Braggs amino acids (or soy sauce - I love Braggs though)
a touch of syrup-you decide
a dash of sage, a dash of thyme, black pepper
I lightly oil a pan and lay out the slices, let brown a bit, turn, and then pour on the liquid and let cook till absorbed and golden.
I love this as a Rueben- with Just Mayo-ketchup-pickle relish, sauerkraut, on rye toast. Grilled with some vegan cheese like Daiya block jalepano is my favorite sandwich ever!

I also like this recipe-
tempeh sausage-easy

Some recipes say to steam tempeh for 5-10 minutes but I've only done that a couple times. Can't say I found a difference

It's really good crumbled in stir fry veggies and gives good texture in loaves and balls

Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good

That does sound like it would be good on a Reuben! I love Reuben's
