Yes I'm Back and ALIVE (1 year high raw.)

I left after I didn't get much support here over this post way back.

Fruitarian, vegan, detox? Anyone else fruitarian/ experiences/advice?

The good news is that I found a lot of support on youtube, going to woodstock fruit fest, and this lifestyle has actually been great. I don't eat full fruitarian, not that I don't want to but throughout the year I had trouble getting good quality fruit that I wanted to eat so I'd eat more vegetables (usually veggie fruits like tomatoes, cucumbers, zuchhini) or some extra seeds to get me through + a lot of herbs. I did cook occasionally but when I did it was often just lightly heated veggies or mushrooms no oil (after awhile I found even cooked vegetables didn't sit well with me.) Lightly cooked mushrooms just to get the water out are okay and I love them. But a good percentage of my food intake has been cold pressed juice and fruit. I did do 1 month all fruit but with some celery and it was probably the best month where I noticed a lot of healing, like my cavities and teeth starting to literally regenerate and remineralize (which most dentists think is impossible). This was even with cheating sometimes during the months before and caving to a pasta or rice dish, which at some point always ended up making me sick, as in literally throw up after I ate it. I never used to get sick on ramen or vegan sausages but when I had them again after months of not having them, I was in horrible stomach pain 12 hours later, felt the whole thing drudging through my system and threw some of it up. True story I thought I'd be fine and nothing that bad would happen and I'd just move on. Tried it again months later with rice, got sick again. Your body knows what it don't want. Picture of teeth, you can see the new white enamel starting to form over the decay.

I've lost 20lbs in a year (you'd think someone eating mainly fruit would lose more but my body has been slow to shed the extra weight off and that's okay!). Now I'm actually a normal weight. 120lbs for my height of 5'3. I still have some extra toning to do but I don't excercise much, but the feeling to start has been slowing working it's way up and growing. I also dry fast 24 hours every or every other week for better kidney filtration and to give digestion a rest for greatest healing. Look how much MY FACE has slimmed and toned.

2 years ago I struggled getting out of bed. I had such bad fatigue, candida, and had severe panic attacks caused by what I would bet to my grave was acidosis like Dr. Morse describes. (I even got certified as a Regenerative Detoxifcation Specialist in Florida under him this past May at a class of around 600 people! I love him so much he literally saved my life from being bed ridden. . He's not perfect and admits he doesn't have ALL the answers but he's the ONLY one who has been able to help me like no one else has.) Panic attacks are no longer. Still "some" anxiety but it's slowly leaving and I'm feeling the confidence rising. I have a lot of healing still to do from a heavy grain, mock meat, and high protein vegan diet, so it's going to be a journey. I've also noticed how much less I smell on this diet. I hardly need deodorant just use it to smell nice, but when you eat fruit, you smell like fruit. When I used to eat tofu all the time I had underarm odor all the time and at times it was so bad not even my deodorant covered it and it would be embarrassing. Nuts and seeds do cause a bit of body odor so I only eat them in small quantities and sparingly as a treat , like as kale chips or a pate or nut meat.

Back to my energy, it's pretty much 70- 80% back. I work now cleaning houses with an eco friendly company and hardly ever need to really stop. Some days I've worked full 8 hours on my feet moving around scrubbing and I could have still gone hours longer. Just keep me fueled with juice! I wouldn't have been able to do this even a year ago when I first started this. I dealt with too much fatigue still.

Some other benefits:

- Periods much much lighter and actually regular. The way I used to eat I'd have skip periods 2-3 months at a time every time. Now they come every month and are much lighter I don't even hardly have to use heavy pads. In addition to that very little period cramps. Still some moods swings more so still 6 months ago but overall things are getting better and better but very slowly.

- I have MUCH less bloating and foul gas problems. Sometimes I still have some if I eat higher fat but no where near the onset of IBS like problems I used to have. My digestive issues aren't healed but I know they are much much better than they were.

- My throat feels clear and I can breathe deeper.

- Face has cleared up some. Not 100% yet but it's getting there. I have to do all the damage I did to my gut flora with the antibiotics I took for it for YEARS that did nothing to fix the underlying issue, being lymph stagnation. Pic. ETA better pic

The cons:

-It can be quite pricey in the states. I can easily spend $200 a week on food where a vegan that includes more grains and beans could make it work on $50 a week.

-Hair CAN fall out. I still have my hair thinning some but I know it will come back vigorous and beautiful but it just takes time and I've seen and heard from those it's happened to. In with the old out with the new healthier, stronger hair.

-You CAN probably lack nutrients on this diet. There is no secret that our food quality is not as it used to be and our soils are being depleted. When you have a good piece of fruit you know. I also have a refractometer that can give you a level indicator of the quality of fruit by the water from it. But for sure I do supplement. I still take vitamin D, b12 sometimes and I have added a bunch of amazing herbs to my diet like alalfa leaf, horsetail, moringa, etc. I also do a 7 mushroom extract combo with spiritulina and chlorella. These all provide higher calcium, silica, iron, and minerals. Ever since I started taking them a few weeks ago my nails have grown fast!! I've never let them get this long before because at some point I'd always pick them down further because they were stubby. Not anymore! The mushroom powder also is a pick me up and makes me feel great around 4 hours after consuming.

-- hard to eat out with family. But I make do surprisingly. If I'm on all fruit for awhile it'd be harder but now I just bring a raw dressing in a container and order a salad and ask them to add extra veg to it.

-- in the beginning you can feel hungry a much more frequently and feel like you have to eat A LOT of fruit to feel satisfied. I follow others that say after awhile that goes away and you are content with filling but smaller quantities that don't seem as massive to eat, I agree with this as of now and feel like it's leaning this way for me. But I still get snack cravings and all that.

I'm not looking to argue or debate here about this really. Just sharing what high raw has done for me, that I lived, and that I'm damn happy I'm finding ways to make this work. If people want to eat grains and beans and feel fine doing so, by all means, as long as you aren't hurting animals. That's the main thing. If you ever do start feeling problems coming on, you know what next to try.

Such a pleasure to "meet" ya'! A fruitarian who also studied under Dr. Morse and healed her lyme symptoms following his protocol is the first person I called after a trip to the ER with gall bladder issues a little over two years ago. I used to be a hardcore SAD consumer and thought she was nuts and would likely starve to death. lol I was always offering her food and remained in awe at what she would eat and how damn active she stayed, how healthy she looked, and how calm, cool, and collective she was in the face of a whole lot of BS. Prior to that ER trip I was damn near bed ridden and weighed over 300 lbs, diagnosed with a list of stuff as long as my arm, and had been repeatedly told to just get used to most of the suffering and be prepared to take prescription meds the rest of my life, as it "comes with age".

She (along with my acupuncturist/master herbalist) introduced me to a liver/gall bladder cleanse (luckily, they didn't have to do surgery as it wasn't yet that severe) that they both had done themselves, heal all tea and other various herbs, Arnold Ehret and Prof. Spira's mucucless diet healing system and rational fasting wisdom, Dr. Sebi's cellular foods, Ozzie and Cherry Warrington and their predetox info, along with a ton of other helpful knowledge that changed my life for the better, beyond what I had been told was possible by medical professionals. I learned what not to do rather quickly, lol, which has been my usual mode of operation in this game called life.

I don't fully practice any one strict method that I mentioned above, other than continually not purposely harming animals, but rather pulled from each one (and a few others along the way) what benefits my biology the best. I received a similar welcome in trying to share, so I feel ya' there. Those "out there" non peer reviewed methods helped me get my life back from the mainstream madness and shed 110 lbs. in the process. So glad you came back to update, and it sure was nice reading your other thread that mirrors so much of what I've experienced. The iridology report was fascinatingly accurate, too, especially knowing that she had absolutely no way of knowing my full history prior to the reading. From hellville to wellville, indeed. Wormaste.

Anytime I think I'm perfect, I remember that my cousin lives on an island, and I've never walked over to visit her.

Thank you knowtion!! Seems like you have been on a bit of a health journey yourself. I feel best on 100% fruit but it's hard to upkeep.

Hi Jamie, werewolf, and purp! Felt it was time to share and maybe this will help someone or give them ideas if they find veganism isn't doing enough for them. I do miss all the mock meats and vegan macaroni tho D; My eyes are lighter,, but only a little bit, I still believe in iridology but I just have so much stagnation the change is going to be slow. Eye pics also do vary some to lighting.

Here is when I first started in June 2016

And this was end of June this year. noticeable difference for sure. Lighter and reduced skin ring.

Hi their.

Umm... 100% fruit based is a bad idea. You do know fruit is nothing but fructose, fiber, water, and vitamin c right? If your hair is thinning and falling out that is because of malnutrition, not "detox". If you really want a raw food diet you should increase the veg and nuts, not limit them and replace them with fruit juice or herbs.

And iridology? You worry me ma'am.

I concur this - I believe you will need to include in your diet more non-sweet veggies and lots of legumes, nuts, and healthy fat, among other things, for it to be healthy in the long run. Hair loss could be a symptom of malnutrition. However I'm no health expert.
