I just want to share this protein powder recipe I found via livestrong.com

this is somewhat very helpful especially if you are a bodybuilder or athlete that need as much protein in their diet.

Protein Powder

Ingredients:

  • Coffee grinder
  • Dried soybeans
  • Oats
  • Brown rice
  • Black beans
  • Sugar
  • Airtight container with lid
  •

Step 1

Put 1 tbsp. each of dried soybeans, oats, brown rice and black beans to a clean coffee grinder. Use only 1/2 tbsp. of each of these ingredients if you have a small coffee grinder. Overfilling the coffee grinder can cause damage. The soybeans and black beans are rich in protein but have a pungent flavor. The brown rice and oats have lesser amounts of protein but will mask the flavor of the soybeans and black beans in the powder, according to "Techniques of Healthy Cooking."

Step 2

Grind the ingredients in the coffee grinder until they reach an ultra-fine consistency, looking and feeling similar to flour. This may take up to five minutes, depending upon the coffee grinder.

Step 3

Pour the protein powder into an airtight container.

Step 4

Stir 1 tbsp. of sugar into the protein powder if you made a whole batch that you wish to sweeten. Use only 1/2 tbsp. of sugar if you made a half-batch.

Step 5

Place the lid on the airtight container and store the protein powder in a cool, dry place until you are ready to use it.

I hope you all enjoy! :)
