I'm not usually much of a movie person, but I rented this movie last week (yah yah, I know it's old, like, 1999) and something about it has really stuck with me. I don't know if it was the absolutely haunting music, the fantastic acting, or what. Has anyone else seen this movie? Any impressions?

I had the Sarah McLaughlin song from it running through my head for like 3 days afterwards. I thought it was a really good movie.

I loved that movie. I haven't seen it in awhile.. I may just need to rent it again. It's a scary thought that something like that can easily happen to anyone.

I love this movie!! I don't know one person who has seen it who doesn't like it It's definately that song 'Silence' that gets ya. It's a superb movie! Glad you enjoyed watching it.

Really I have nothing substantial to say about this lol! Good movie though!

This movie scared me, but the reality is even scarier.

I hate dictatorships and have sworn a long time ago that if it's up to me, I will never ever be in one again. Not as worker, not as tourist, not as anything. Ever.

As for the story apart from that, as far as I can remember, one of the girls lies and and takes all the blame, in order to free her friend. I think this was essentially the core story of the movie, I was just distracted by the scary things around it.

If so, then it's a story of true friendship and sacrifice - I guess we all don't know how we would behave in such a situation until we're in one (hopefully never).

Now you do!

I bought the dvd brand new for six bucks & watched it with my husband. Neither of us liked it.
