I just realised the old thread went way over 5,000 posts. So here is a shiny new one!

I just watched Abduction. A teenager finds his baby photo on a missing person's website and sets out to find out who he really is. Interesting premise, mostly good acting, terrible script.

I loved that movie mainly because Taylor Lautner.

On a different note, I watched The Hunger Games, and wow was it amazing! They nailed almost everything, left out a few details (including some major ones - Mockingjays and the Muttations were never fully explained) but I suppose that's necessary when you're turning a book with so many details into a movie, and it was > 2 hours as is. Still, quite excellent, Peeta was gorgeous, and I enjoyed it very much! Also Peeta was gorgeous.

Last film I watched was just a Russian dub of Ghost Ship for no particular reason but curiosity. They actually seemed to do a pretty good job of it, but Russians sure do sound serious all the time.

Somebody once compared me to that for some reason. I've never even seen it so I have no idea what she was talking about. Maybe I look like a character or something.

Jesus saved me, but the file was corrupted.

My mother loves that movie. I'm going to go tell her someone on here said it was awful and annoying and see what she says.

As if! Me being banhammered from the internets is akin to someone going "Hey, dude, stop breathing."

Just watched Absentia. Slow indie horror which, for me, turned out surprisingly good. Not everyone's cup of tea though.

Same here. I would put that in the same category as a film like Mamma Mia.

Ugh, Mamma Mia is possibly the worst film I've ever seen.

I loved Mamma Mia! Mainly because of the music, though.

Just got Cleopatra on Blu-ray. I had seen this way back in '63, when I was 12, but it was so far over my head, I barely remember it. It's a remarkable film. Rex Harrison, as always, is terrific. This is a 4-hour plus version, which is similar to its road show release. They say there are about two-hours of deleted scenes, which some day may be restored.

I watched it the other night too, they did very good job at the film adaptation. Enjoyed the show quite a bit.

Well I'm a bit nostalgic about the franchise so the first and second films were the best in my opinion and everything after that was just sheer crap.

She was awful in Unknown as well. Does she have relatives in casting or something?

Saw Troll Hunter yesterday. English dubbed so it was weird from the start, then it got weirder and weirder but it was kind of endearing. I wasn't sure when I got it if it was supposed to be serious or funny, and I'm still not sure after watching it.

I think what happened was she was really well cast in Mad Men so everyone thinks she's a really good actress but actually she doesn't act, she just reads lines and is dreadful and it shows in everything except Mad Men.
