As I'm sure most Avatar fans (not those blue aliens, THE Avatar that airbends) probably know, a mini series will air on Nick sometime during the middle of next year called Legend of Korra (full name The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra). The series takes place 70 years after the end of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Korra is a 16-17ish year old girl from the Southern Water Tribe and the new Avatar (so yes, it means Aang is dead). Korra has mastered water, earth, and fire, but will go to the United Republic (a city founded by Aang and Zuko for people of all nations to live together) to seek out an airbender to teach her (if you want to know who, check out the link at the bottom).

Like how Ozai was the bad guy in A:TLA, Korra and her gang is up against The Equalists, a group of people skilled in chibending who live in the United Republic that are against benders and bending. They use their chi-blocking techniques (just like how Ty-Lee was able to do) to temporarily prevent benders to bend while in fights.

The trailer:
http://media.mtvnservices.com/player...18&type=normal

A very nice collection of info about the series so far (spoilers galore) is here.

I loved the original, but was too young to really pay that much attention to it. I need to go back and watch it sometime.

First episode has been "leaked"!

Just the first one though. When it's premiered, it will be the first two episodes back-to-back.

Now, I'm not saying you should watch it, nor am I saying how to watch it, but the very end of this sentence might contain more info. Also, that sentence is full of spoilers.

A woman who has muscles?!

How audacious, how sensational, how absolutely delightful!

Yeah, all the ones being put up on YouTube have just a couple-hour lifespan now, if that. There are still several torrents/downloads online of it though.

Also, I was going through all the folders on my computer to try and tidy up, and I found this:

Edit: VB is shrinking it, so if you want to see it with text that is not tiny, click here.

The premiere is up online!

Also, this is my download link for the music from the LoK soundtrack. I'm fairly positive it works for multiple persons, so if you want to get the muzak, feel free to use this link. The .zip will be able to be downloaded until April 19.

That was awesome!!!

Korra reminds me of a combination of Katara and Toph I think. I love her already.

Toph was one of the most hilarious characters on that show. I love how she constantly flaunted the fact that she was blind just to piss people off.

Toph was the best character on the show merely based on the fact that she was no the token goofball, boring female sidekick, invincible moron MC, vengeful rival or a bat**** insane woman.

I nearly have the first two episodes completely memorized. I can't even begin to count how many times I've watched it. I kinda wish Korra wasn't just going to be a miniseries, but I guess I should count it lucky we even got the show in the first place.

Don't know if you guys have read The Promise yet, but you should. First part is already out, second is coming out in May (first 6 pages), and the third and final will probably be out in September. It's pretty much what "Book 4" would be, and is what happens after the end of A:TLA and before Korra. Warning: Aang and Katara are super lovey-dovey.

I doubt any of you except vegkid can see this since you're not in the US, but here's a new opening they have for Korra on Nick.com. I'll go try find the source .mp4 which I'm sure is viewable to anyone without living in the US or using a proxy. Also, it says it's the "full episode", but it's actually not. It's less than 15 minutes long and cuts out prime Mako/Bolin time.

Edit: Ok, I had become bored trying to see if I can find the source of the video the swf draws from, so I recorded the beginning. The muzak/talking is muffled a bit but it gets the point across. It's uploading to YouTube now. Hopefully it won't be an auto-takedown. This is the URL for it: REMOVEDBECAUSEITHATESME

Cool! Any other places to find full episodes?

For Korra, I don't know of any current places to see the first two episodes. On YouTube they get taken down fast. Nick.com does have the entire "Welcome to Republic City" episode up, which makes them cutting "A Leaf in the Wind" nearly in half even more confusing to me. *shrug*

Also, I am SOOOO EXCITED for next week. They're having a A:TLA marathon on Nick leading up to Korra on the 14th, and they're the episodes with the popup bubble "commentary". I've only seen the first book with the popups, and from the looks of it, it's going to be all three books.

I just looked up "Legend of Korra episode 2 leak" a while ago, and watched the full episode from there.
However, I went back to the site I watched it on a couple days ago, and the video is no longer there

The second episode was pretty good.

Ok, I just got back home and looked at the video of the new opening I uploaded, and it's all weird and slanted! What the hey. Hmm... I'll upload it again using a different method. Edit: http://vimeo.com/39609956 Password is VB

But anyway, of the two episodes, I have the HQ version that was on Korra Nation saved to my computer. I can find maybe find a place to upload and share...

Yeah! I saw a bunch of scans of it about two years ago and fell in love, and I'm glad I finally got around to getting it.

First two episodes available for free on iTunes!
http://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season...-1/id511441792 and trailers/extras here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/t...ign-mpt=uo%3D4This is, unfortunately, only for US folk.

Also new Korra Nation video: http://korranation.tumblr.com/post/2...upted-when-her (which I've heard people in Canada can view with this URL here but not sure about elsewhere)

So excited, almost a week away. Even though I've already watched the premiere 500 times. There's always something better about watching a show on TV along with hundreds upon hundreds of thousands or millions of others.

And I got my books.

There are a lot of images in The Art that I wish I had at high res. They'd make awesome desktop backgrounds and meatspace posters. They're pretty awesome.

I saw your signature but had no idea Korra was related to Avatar. We just watched Avatar on Netflix with our 5 year old, it was awesome. I think I missed some content due to children/chaos but I'll watch Korra next!
