Sleep improvement

So I've been having major sleeping problems, not sure what exactly it was that was causing my lack of sleep. I was in the process of seeing my doctor about it, he was gonna refer me to a sleep specialist but now guess what?

About 2 weeks after going vegan, all of a sudden my sleep tracker app that I use at night started telling me I was sleeping roughly 6 hours every night instead of the previous 1-3 hours...

At first it didn't click but then I realized that I had just gone vegan a couple weeks ago and now magically my sleep is much more normal. I wake up more refreshed, I'm not fighting to keep my eyes open at work all day, etc. I could be wrong and maybe it's coincidence but something tells me it's not coincidence.

Have any of you experienced sleep improvement when going vegan?

Maybe having meat and dairy make people feel tired and sleepy. Anyways, I believe being vegan really has a sound sleep as well as refresh morning.

My mom had the opposite experience after going vegan: She had difficulty dozing off during the first 2 whole months. Then things gradually got normal. I guess her body needed time to adjust to the new diet, though she was never really a big fan of meat before the transition.
