Senior moment: Last night was the first time in years that I forgot to reset everything before going to bed. And I was thinking about it all day Friday and Saturday and still forgot. A mention of it in the LA Times reminded me.
It didn't use to be such a chore. Back in the old days, we set our watch and maybe two or three clocks. Now there are clocks EVERYWHERE. I changed a lot of clocks this morning. Note to myself: Buy one of those atomic wall clocks for my kitchen!
My cellphone has the time digitally running across the front cover, but it had the wrong time. I couldn't figure out why and there's no clock setting in the menu (it's set remotely, I guess). It finally occurred to me that it was because I had left the phone turned on all night. So I turned it off, and then on again, and voila! the time had reset.
Here's the weird thing: I have two digital cable TV converters, and the time always automatically adjusts (again, set remotely) during the night. However, both of them are still an hour behind. Don't know why. Somebody sleeping on the job? (I have Adelphia).
