I've really been craving Sangria lately, but the last time I made a recipe at home, it was so bad that I had to throw it away. I want to try some of the bottled Sangria, but don't know what to try. I bought the Skinny Girl Sangria (white), but haven't tried it yet. My favorite Sangria is from Olive Garden (red, berry). I want something like that, pretty sweet and yummy. Have you tried any bottled versions that are like that? Are the bottled "Sangria" drinks sweet? Has anyone tried this one?

I get that one every now and then it is ok.  I also kind of like yago, but it is not super classy or special.

I am not an expert though.

I just opened the Skinny Girl Sangria... it's okay. It just tastes like straight white wine to me, not very Sangria-ish. I might add a splash of cran-grape juice that I have in the fridge.

That will probably help a lot, all the best sangria I've tried has been heavy on the juice.

I like the fruit and cinnamon in the restaurant ones.  I should put that in when having the store bought one.

I like the bottled ones because you don't have to buy fresh fruit and cut it up. While I love eating fresh fruit, I don't always have some on hand. The day I get my own place and don't have to commute far is the day I celebrate with fresh fruit in my Sangria tongue3.gif I always end up tossing half of it because I go to my bf's house for a few days or work so much that I don't eat any meals at home.

The best bottled sangria by far is Senor Sangria. It is an all natural sangria based on a homemade recipe. It is currently available in New York, New Jersey, Conneticut and Massachusetts. In New Jersey, Whole Foods Markets with Liquor Stores carries it. They have a red and white. Senor Sangria is made with real fruit juice, pure cane sugar and chilean wines. Brotherhood winery in upstate New York mixes the product. It looks and tastes authentic.
