Is anybody else blessed with really big pores on their face? I have them on my nose and my upper lip the worst. I wash my face morning and night, so they are clean - but is there anyway to close them up? Ugh...they bother me...

I am pretty sure you can't close pores after they have become enlarged. I think there are ways you can make them look temporarily smaller, but they wont actually shrink. I know that exfoliating will help keep them from getting clogged. I would assume any astringent or gel with a tightening agent will make them temporarily appear smaller.

I did have the same problem but ever since I've been using St. Ives Apricot Scrub to wash my face and Rose Day Cream by Dr. Hauschka, my face has improved dramatically.

His products are a bit pricey, but they're worth it.

Yeah, get a good scrub (I love the apricot scrub too) and a beta hydroxy toner and it will help make your pores tighten for a bit.

Microdermabrasion cleans out pores and also shrinks them. It costs about $125 per session, though.

I tend to get bigger pores when I don't exercise and I haven't had a good sweat.

When I took antibiotics to clear my skin, my pores shrunk. The dermo said the minocyclene actually helps skin because of it's anti-inflamatory properties, not it's antibiotic properties.

Now I have given the minocyclene up in search of something better for me and my skin is itchy and red and swollen.
