How many people here research the carbon footprint when purchasing new items (cars, computers, phones, etc.) and then compare it to keeping the good operating one you have or buying a used one instead?
I don't do that only because I can't remember the last time I bought something new, but that's an excellent idea for the next time I do need to buy something.
