Jerusalem artichokes are the cure for that.
Just dont overdo it with them or it'll feel like you have two angry badgers fighting in your belly.

Sometimes I get pretty gassy but in general, no.

Pull my finger, see what happens

Passing wind, i.e. gassiness from the rear end, is a product of poor digestion. You can't just blame the food. Proper and complete digestion starts in the stomach with adequate quantity of hydrochloric acid. Look into it if you wish. You'll be amazed at how it all works.

I have not farted more than before I went vegetarian.

But I've got Crohn's disease. So I really can't tell. I fart a lot. End of story ;)

I went veg so long ago, I honestly can't say.

(But yep- this thread is fun. And I think I am more gassy than average, but I'm not sure.)

It's only been a few days that I've been back on the veg*n wagon but I have definitely noticed I am more, *ahem*, regular. Maybe not extra gassy, but when it's time to go, it is ~*~*time to go*~*~ :p

Tofu, unfermented soy and sodium tend to set me off :-)

No. Beans have never made me fart. Beef (as in "to beef", it's own slang for fart), and eggs, made me fart, yet I get that joke everytime. When I ask when have I farted after beans? they know I don't, they just know it's funny to say that. Ha. Ha. Ha-no it's not

I hope you get asked about where you get your protein every single day of your life, buy multiple people

In the '60s and '70s, NASA used the principle of the fart to fuel the Apollo Lunar Vehicles, which allowed them to land on the moon. They substituted helium for methane to propel the hypergolic fuels into the combustion chamber, where they spontaneously ignited. Men actually farted their way to the lunar surface.

Yeah, I hate the stereotypes too. I was trying to make a joke with the T-shirt.

Only if I eat sweets with regular meals.

Otherwise, very little, and I eat huge amounts of beans and cruciferous veggies.

I've been vegetarian for forty-six years, so i guess my system has had time to adjust. :)

Less after giving up dairy completely. My DR thinks it was soy causing it but it definitely got better without dairy.

Activated charcoal is great for treating wind, especially the type made from coconut (the type of charcoal made from coconut not the type of wind :) .
