I'll do them a few at a time...
First, to set the scene there is Fia (who is a portrait of my wife) is reading a bedtime story to her grandkids.1. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+1.jpg
Fia: Well kids, now grandma is going to read a bedtime story. This one is about Tarzan, son of the apes. This is his mom on her way to Africa with her husband John Clayton.
The girl: Look gramma, Tassan's mummy sad!
Fia: Yeah, wonder why.
The boy: Tassan!
On the book cover it says "Taschan, the mock-ape" or something like that, it's a swedish play with words. The next was the first one I drew in the strip, with no real plan to continue, but that one set up the mood for the others.2. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+2.jpg
"While John Clayton spent his days hunting for wild animals. His young wife Alice, who was a militant vegan, found comfort and support during her darkest moments from the male ape Kerchack"
Kerchack: My dear lady Alice, you have to abandon your husband. All he loves is his rifle.
Alice: Oh, the poor animals, the poor innocent animals!
"Never has a ring felt so heavy on a young woman's finger."3. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+3.jpg
"In the evening when John came home and tried to come near his wife the young lady Alice was disgusted by the smell of innocent blood on her husbands hands"
John: Alice, my love, how I have longed for you!
Alice: Don't touch me you disgusting ****!4. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+4.jpg
"The following day Alice then made her descision. To start a-new with an ape was a huge step for a woman her age but... "
"... to live with a creep that killed innocent animals was out of the question! When she was unwatched for a moment she picked up John's dreaded rifle."
"The poor coward ran off into the woods without her ever having to fire a single shot."5. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+5.jpg
"Lady Alice cried out for her beloved Kerchack in her lovely voice, he came rushing towards her"
Kerchack: You did it lady Alice! You freed yourself of that cowardly killer!
Alice: My beloved!6. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+6.jpg
"They flew in each others arms and it was nearly that lady Alice fainted. Their first time together was intense, almost magical. Kerchack was both strong and tender in a way that John had never been. His strict vegan diet gave him great stamina and made him smell so nice. Lady Alice was in exstacy."This particular panel gave me some trouble when this was going to be published becasue technically that's sex between an ape and a woman. It was eventually published and I don't know that there were any protests. I think the readers got the joke.
"After Kerchack he had pleased her thoroughly the young lady Alice feel asleep on the grass, happy"
"The noble beast carried her up to the house. Alice felt so safe in his arms. She knew he only ate plants and wouldn't harm her. She slept like a baby until the next day"8. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+8.jpg
"As fantastic as the night before had been it was on the morning after that lady Alice really knew she had made the right choice before because while John simply would pick up his rifle in the mornings and go hunt for innocent animals Kerchack had been up earely to pick fruits that he now tenderly fed her with."9. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...g-Tarzan+9.jpg
"When they went out to pick fruits the young lady Alice noticed that while the other animals respected Kerchack they were not afraid of him as they had been for John and his dispickable rifle."
"The vegan Kerchack was much, much stronger than John but felt no need to show it off."
"Kerchack was in all ways a bigger man than John, not just morally and intellectually."
"Together he and Alice had a lot of fun."Again, this panel was discussed but finally published.10. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...-Tarzan+10.jpg
"When Tarzan, their son, was born Kerchack proved not only to be the hottest lover Alice had ever had but also a warm and loving husband and father. He protected and cared for her and their baby."
"During Tarzan's first year Kerchack never left their side. Unlike John he never had to go out to hunt."
"He was strong, patient and never, ever tired."
"And the young lady Alice could focus completely on her baby. Never did she hasve to cook food or wash clothes for her husband. He ate fruits and walked around naked."This is perhaps my favorite panel in the strip. Especially the pricture of Kerchack holding Tarzan as if he was a pineapple or something.11. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...-Tarzan+11.jpg
"During the daytime Kerchack trained Tarzan in climbing trees, a skill he'd need later in life when he was searching for fruits."
"In the evening he often read aloud from Shakespeare's collected works for both Tarzan and the young lady Alice for the saek of their education."12. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...-Tarzan+12.jpg
"As Tarzan got older Kerchack eventually taught him how to read and write, and lady Alice took her chance to learn some too!"
Tarzan: Tass... Tashan! Ah, now I get it! But it's so difficult dad!
Kerchack: But you will learn it my son.
On the papers are examples of Kerchack's writing: Tashan, Aliss, appel, bannana and so on...
"The blood thirsty killer John had kept Alice away from any form of higher education to hold her down."
"The vegan Kerchack felt no need such oppressive behavior."13. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...-Tarzan+13.jpg
"Tarzan grew up to be a strong and healthy youing man. Like his father he only ate fruits, never hurt anybody and refused to cover his body. His mother Alice was very proud of him."
Tarzan: Such lovely peaches you have plucked this morning daddy!
Kerchack: They are really great this time of year. Eat as many as you want my son.
Alice: Yes, eat my son. You will need the energy when you are out today saving innocent animals.
Tarzan, How very true mother, how very true!14. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_nDeh5ARSY3...-Tarzan+14.jpg
Fia: Yes, that's how he was, Tarzan, the son of an ape, vegan and kind to all the animals. You two can be the same way when you grow up!
On the book cover it says "Tasken" which is swedish slang for... nevermind, you can guess it yourself! That's it! That's the whole Vegan-Tarzan translated to english for the first time ever...
sorry if the english isn't as good as it should be.
