Thread: Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake?

    Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake?

Does anyone know the source of rennet in Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake?
"For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God." Romans 1:19-20

I know this post is old, but I recently emailed Cheesecake Factory about their so-called "vegetarian" menu items and their cheese. Here's their response:

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our menu suggestions for a vegetarian diet.

All of our cheeses contain animal rennet. We offer many different varieties of bread; some are supplied by national suppliers while others are provided locally but none are considered vegan by the manufactures. The portabella burger and the dressings associated with it do not contain Worcestershire sauce.

We hope that this has answered your inquiries. Have a wonderful day!

I never received a reply back about gelatin in their cheesecake. If you buy the frozen cheesecake at the grocery store, it contains gelatin. Stupid companies and their lack of replies!

Thank you for your interest in The Cheesecake Factory. About half of our cheesecakes contain beef gelatin. None of our desserts that we serve in our restaurants contain pork gelatin. The following cheesecakes contain beef gelatin:

    Original Cheesecake
    Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake
    30th Anniversary Chocolate Cake Cheesecake
    Brownie Sundae Cheesecake
    Godiva Cheesecake
    Vanilla Bean Cheesecake
    Kahlua Cocoa Coffee Cheesecake
    Key Lime Cheesecake
    Dulce De Leche Caramel Cheesecake
    Low Carb Cheesecake
    Dutch Apple Caramel Streusel

The rest of our cheesecakes do not contain any gelatin. If you have any further questions, please let us know at your earliest convenience. I hope that you will visit us soon and enjoy some of our wonderful cheesecake!

Most, if not all, of the cheesecakes anywhere have gelatin in them. They are like marshmallows - they cannot be made without gelatin.

Whole Foods does sell a cheesecake without gelatin.

I want it soooooooo bad, but it's not weight watchers friendly 16g of saturated fat per serving.

I've made a cheesecake before, and though it was quite a messy affair due to my poor cooking skills, I can assure you not a bit of gelatin went into that cheesecake.
