    Stabbing pigs on Grey's Anatomy!

So I love this show, but I am not pleased with tonight's episode. It's on right now, I was so fired up I ran to the computer on a commercial break.... I know it's just fictional TV, but it's still disturbing to see. They are using the pigs as "live tissue" to operate on. One of the attendings stabbed 6 pigs (I turned away, so not sure on those details) and told the resident Dr.'s and interns to save them.
Izzy was the only one who refused to take part in the act. We'll see how the rest of the episode turns out.

I agree, the scenes are rather disturbing. Needless to say, I'm changing the channel.

It's getting better!! Did you hear what Izzie just said to him? LOVE IT!! This could bring awareness about animal rights to people who've never thought about it!!

Yeah, Izzy was the only saving grace on there, but yeah, the ending was sad... I guess it was good to bring awareness, but still, not so fun to watch/think about.

It was a bit disturbing...and even sadder when he told Yang to "terminate" them after she saved their lives.

But yes, it did bring a little awareness, and although it was a bit violent, maybe it struck a nerve with someone.

I was apprehensive at first when I started watching, but I think all in all it was a good show. Made me cry, too.

    Hard to watch

    So hard to watch.

But on the other hand, at least Izzie put it out there and the dude actually had to hear it and deal with it. But "terminate" the pigs???? WTF!

    So wrong.

But, I actually loved the parallel between the passion for saving the little girl, and the passion for saving the pigs. Made you feel just how crazy it is to mistreat them. All in all probably a good thing message delivered. But, would be happy not to revisit the theme on the show. Loved Izzie's argument about the flipper babies. Nailed it.

I was SOOOO disturbed when I saw the beginning. I've seen every GA episode and wanted to turn it off. It did get better.
